So it got to -35 here last night and when I went to make sure my window would roll down (I have to drive onto post to get to work and show my ID every day) it wouldn't roll back up. I only rolled it down partially initially. Every time I tried to roll it up it went down further until it went all the way down into the door. I figure it was frozen somehow and make the painful drive to Napa (about 5-10 miles away, God was I cold even with all my awesome gov't issue gear) and get some windshield deicer. After about 10-15 minutes of squirt, try, wait, and repeat it barely came up a little. After some encouragement I was able to pull on it and hit the button and it came up.

I didn't dare try the other windows, but I have noticed my rear passenger window was slow to roll up in the past.

Any suggestions on keeping this from happening again? (aside from not living here :teeth:) I don't plan on rolling my window down anymore but this shouldn't happen.

As you guys probably remember, I installed the HID conversion kit on my truck last weekend. On the passenger side, I tried to remove the headlight so I could properly / cleanly mount the ballasts, but discovered it's ^#$%^#$% impossible to remove the headlights! So, I reinstalled the 4 bolts I had removed (there's a 5th bolt behind the grill you can't get to unless you remove the entire grill :ftard:) and finished up through the wheel well with no problems.

We'll my passenger light is now pointed off to the right a good ways. I found 1 adjustment point on the back of the headlight, but it only adjusts the beam up and down. I need the beam to come back toward the driver's side. Do I need to play with all the mounting bolts again?

Hey all, riddle me this:

Hey all, riddle me this:

I just installed an Audiovox rear-view camera in the truck and since then the TPMS light has been coming on. It comes on at EXACTLY the same point in my drive (about 10 miles), and yesterday going home, it went off after about 12 miles of driving. Tire pressure is 35 in all tires.

Here's how I installed the camera and mirror/screen:

Camera - on bumper next to hitch receiver, with pos wire tapped into license plate light and grnd wire secured to bolt in chassis (on with lights, not just reverse). Audio/video cable secured to wire bundle under truck bed from 7-pin connector, crossing above spare tire, along passenger side of bed, through grommet behind passenger rear seat, under panelling to dash under fuse box.

Mirror/screen - attached to mirror, wire run up to ceiling, across passenger side, down A pillar panel to fuse box. Pos wire tapped into fuse slot for mirror fuse (using littelfuse add-a-circuit) with 2 grnd wires tapped to both bolts on right side of fuse box (1 wire each bolt). Per instructions, 1 grnd wire supposed to be attached to emergency brake pedal, but I want to be able to use both inputs while driving (1 for trailer), so I hooked both up to chassis.

Today, I pulled over, turned off engine, removed littelfuse and replaced original fuse into slot, drove past 16 MPH and the light went off. That's twice I've done that now.

Question:
Did I do something in either install piece that could be causing some kind of EM interference with the TPMS sensor, or some kind of short in the fuse box?

Thanks.

Hey y'all. I'm throwing around the idea of lifting my truck sometime within the next year. I'm thinking summer of 2010 at the moment. I want to do a 6" PC lift with a 3" PA body lift (w/ gap guards of course). I want to get it up on 37s, and I'm debating the idea of doing 20s or 22s. I love the rims I have on the truck right now, but the largest size they come in is 20".

I was also browsing around at other rims I'd be interested in. I like the BMF Novacanes, but again, the largest they come (in a 6 lug application) is 20".

I don't want to run KMCs like every other lifted truck (here in College Station I see at least 1 set of Rockstars everyday, black and chrome). So what I'm asking y'all is this: Can y'all show me some 22s that would look sick on lifted trucks? Or do you think it's worth talking to Ballistic Offroad (since they're a relatively small company) about custom making some Jesters in a 22x10?

Thanks.

Adjustable Height Rack?

So I did some searching and found plenty of racks out there. Has anyone installed an adjustable rack like the Thule XSporter 422 XT

My main concern is interference with the UtiliTrack system, I'd like to avoid taking it out but I really want something that is height adjustable.

I've seen the Hauler Racks and they seem nice considering that they don't interfere with a tonneau cover but they aren't height adjustable... Just high/low.:ftard:

So... The question is does anyone know of a height-adjustable rack that won't interfere with the UtiliTrack bonus if I can work in a tonneau...?

I've been raping google :bangit: so I don't expect to find exactly what I'm looking for - I've got some bikes and kayaks I need to figure out a way to move about.

Well after an entire month I finall have my truck all fixed up and running amazing after my wreck with the school bus. We are still in the process of getting the county to pay for the damages. But anyways it took the shop what seemed like forever to get the truck done.
I later found out it wasnt their fault at all the parts were all backordered so after the first go around when the company shipped the wrong parts, it took some time but they got in all the right stuff. The total bill was about $4900 in damage. So just about all the drivers side got redone and repainted. Might I say it is one shiny truck on the drivers side lol.

They did a great job on all the body work and paint. And to top it all of, they fixed my broken transmission mount and rotated my tires to see if they could help with the vibrations and shaky steering wheel I had been having. I havent had a chance to open it up but it felt a little better on the way home. Lets just say i missed it lol.

They did an excellent job of cleaning it up. I was very impressed with their work but just the sheer amount of time put into actually cleaning it. My carpets and floor mats got shampooed and cleaned and all the doors and steering wheel and everything on the interior was made spotless. This made me one happy guy when they handed me the keys because it was pretty dirty before lol.

But anyways just thought I would let you all know how excited I was to have it back. Next step is getting a bodylift on that bad boy lol. Oh and if you have an accident Graham's is the place to go if you live near Wilson County
