My question is that Iam planing on buying one as an early Christmas present for myself but sometime in the summer I also want to buy a ramair hood from suncoast. My problem is that I want one that would work as part of the ramair system and it seems like K&N and S&B are the ones that they recommend on there site. Do any of you know if I could go with a volant or AEM and if it would work with that system.

I drove home a 2010 Pro4X crew cab tonight I am thinking about purchasing. Whether you engage the rear electric diff lock in 2H, 4H, or 4Lo (I was in a low traction environment) the dash board light simply flashes "diff lock" rapidly.

This got me thinking that perhaps it was never engaging (as normally a steady light indicates something is successful).

Also, I have read on this forum conflicting opinions - that is to say it only locks in 4Lo or that it locks in 4H also (I am pretty sure it does not engage in 2H).

The manual is not in the glove box so I was hoping someone could give me the run down.

Thanks in advance!

I just purchased a cortex tuner and plan to install it when I get home. I've read every thread posted on this site, all of it helpful information. Since I am not much of a truck mechanic, I am a little curious about out-of-the-box installation.. is the process easy? Do I need to talk to Cortex? Do I just plug it in and follow the on-screen instructions? I don't do much off-roading, pull a motorcycle trailer weighing about 600lbs (not much weight, I know). Looking for the best tune based off your recommendations.. looking to improve HP and performance. My guess based off of your posts is advance timing *2, run 91 Octane, set the rev limiter a little higher, and I think everything else is good.?.?. Thanks in advance for your advice!

I have an '04 Titan SE.
I like to be on 2wd to save gas and to have some extra fun on the snow, but I also like to keep it on 4wd to be safe and not to take 5 minutes to get the T moving from a stop.

My question is, does it hurt the truck at all to keep switching around 2wd and 4wd all the time?
Also, how slow should u be going before u switch? And do u really have to keep the wheels straight when you do so?

I'm just getting paranoid because today when I switched it to 4wd and hit the gas, something was grinding.

And I got one more question, is it bad for the transmission to drift in the snow too much? Since it is unnatural spinning of the wheels?

I'm sorry for all the questions but I just wanna keep my Titan in great health.
