Below are a few quick pics I took of my new rims and tires. I knew I would have some trimming to do because my 33.5" Toyo M/Ts on stock Off Road rims came fairly close to the fender liner, and I was not only sticking the rims out another 1-3/8" more, (Black Rock Viper are 17x8" with 4.5" backspacing), but I was also upsizing the tires to a 34 inch ... LT305/70R17 Nitto Terra Grappler A/T.

The only unexpected negative was the Black Rock Vipers rub the calipers of an '04 bad! The guy at Black Rock didn't think they would, and we were also surprised since they had 4.5" of backspacing. I opted for grinding the calipers because I didn't want spacers, or to deal with shipping them back.

Btw, thanks to Matt and Travis at Discount Tire Direct for putting together the package for me. I also got their TPMS sensors and the local Big O had no problems programing them with the same program as they use for the stock ones. Way less money than the Nissan ones too.

The first pic is with a 2.5" PRG level kit.

The second and third pic is with my DRE, (Icon), coilovers, (which Greg recently flipped the hat on, which makes them about 1.5" longer). Previous to the hat flip, I had one of the PRG custom 1" net spacers on top. I need to drop the preload a bit ... right now it's sitting at about 4" with a bit of reverse rake.

Fourth pic is looking down and into the wheel well at the pinch weld, (blue outline), plus additional trimming where the mud guards were, (black outline). All trimming was for fitment with the 2.5" spacer, (requires an aftermarket UCA), so I'd have a lot of clearance after the additional lift.

Fifth pic is of just the Black Rock Viper and the Nitto Terra Grappler.

Btw, 17"x8" is the largest size this rim is offered in, but it is also offered in really nice looking black/polished option. Remember that a spacer or caliper grinding in the front will be needed for the '04-'07 Titans. It's worth it IMO.

Hello all I have an 05 4x4 KC Titan and I was wondering what some good looking setups would be (preferably off road, pics would be helpful) and of any wheel/tire limits to prevent rubbing, as I don't know much about it. Thank you :)

I have installed a set of 305/50r20 on my truck. My question is with what I have installed I noticed that the ride has changed has anyone else noticed this with having a 305 size tire? Also they stick out a little from the wheel well is that the same for everyone else. The rims are 20x9.

I just purchased some 18" XD Hoss rims (used) that were supposed to have come off of a Nissan Titan. I have an '08 Nissan Titan 4x4 double cab, but when I installed the wheels, the calipers just touch the backside of the rims. I had a tire company install them and they never said anything to me. I drove around a bit and did not notice anything while driving or braking with no contact noise either. But when I got under the truck and looked at them, I could tell that they just barely touched. They do not appear to be touching now, but there isn't much clearance at all... Are these floating calipers? How much clearance do I need? Is it safe to drive? Unfortunately I am in LA and need to get back to Sacramento and don't think it is safe to drive. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.. :crying:

I bought Konig Coastal Chrome (20x 9.5) used with Titan sensors installed (the installed part is important here). At a local tire store, I have them dismount the oem wheels and take out "my" sensors so that I can sell the wheels and put the sensors in the Konig's. One of the techs tells the manager that the sensors wont work in those wheels. I try to explain there are already working nissan titan tpms sensors in the wheels but they belong to a friend and I need to get them back to him and put my sensors in the wheels. The guy argues with me "you cant put sensors in those wheels" Doesn't try to explain it or bother to look at the obvious tpms valve stems in the wheel.
Has anyone had experience with these wheels and tire sensors. Unless I am missing something I don't see how there can be sensors already in the wheels that work... but you cant use tpms sensors in my particular Konigs ??? Unless he thought he could buffalo me into buying some of his wheels so my sensors would work.
