Thumbs up Red Alert in Jax Florida

I am from Jacksonville (NE FL) and the proud dad of a newborn 2005 Red Alert SE 2WD Crew (the first delivered and on the streets of Jax) without much in the way of mods (yet) other than almost limo tinted back windows and step bars.

Next on my list is to add black splash gaurds and pick out a decent hard tonneau (color matched, of course).

Hey Skiff,

Can you share any details on your ARE Tonneau? That was one of the makes I am considering.

Thanks,

Hi Draco - I bought the A.R.E. because it will let you put things in the bed that are a couple of inches taller than the bed. I carry a generator for work and the lower profile covers wouldn't work with the generator. It's a very nice tonneau. The paint is a dead match with my truck. It is watertight, no leaks. It mounts to the utilitrack rails and sits on bumpers of it's own. No rubs on the finish that way. I went to the A.R.E. website and got the info from them on where to buy. They even emailed me a $50 coupon. It cost me $800 (with the coupon) delivered and installed. It took my local dealer about 16 days to get mine from the factory. Couldn't be happier with the A.R.E. LSII top.

Got a silver 04 CrewCab LE

Live in a tiny little town called Lake Hamilton near Winter Haven. Its right off US 27 between Lake Wales and I4. I got tinted front windows,
Stillen exhaust, Volant Intake, Morel tweeters in the factory locations for the RF stereo, Mobil 1 in the rear diff, 2 factory oil/filter changes and 1800 miles.
No probs whatsoever and I hammer on the truck. Will have some fat/lower profile tires as soon as I wear these out and I am working on it. Think I'll just get the factory 18's chromed, I like those just fine.

I work across the road from Bubbalous. Sort of a dangerous location. Running back across Alafaya Trail with a belly full of barbeque is an adventure in itself.
