OK, so where are we meeting? I've been by there 1000 times on I-4, but never actually stopped at the mall. Any particular spot and specific time? Want to swap cell numbers by PM?

How about the rear side by the food court? Usually some open areas back there.

Well, then I'll pass too. I don't have a wife that wants to shop. It's not worth the gas for me to go cross town for a 3-person event. There are so many Titans in Central Florida, with several on this board, I can't figure why nobody wants to show up to these. We managed 9 last time. I just washed my truck this morning and came inside to check this thread. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Yeah, I'd like to get a much better organized event next time. If we had like 10 or 20 people guaranteeing to be there, it would be an easier decision for me.

Re: Who's showin' in Orlando in a week?!

Really glad everyone decided after 11am not to go. I was already on the road from the east coast. Took an hour and a half to 2 hours to get there. I hit the road around 10:30 (to make it by 12). I wanted to be there early to meet everyone before they had to split.
Got up early to wash the truck, got gas, went to the ATM, and hit the road. Used alot more gas than some of you Orlando guys would have driving across town.
Well I got there at 12. Drove to the food court and waited. Let the GF go inside and shop and drove around looking for Titan's. Parked back at the food court, and waited. Drove around again and then waited. Finally at about 12:55, I put a note on my truck. Parked out in the open area of the outer ring of the food court parking lot and went in to find the GF and have lunch. After lunch I checked the truck and saw Mall security talking to someone in an Armada parked next to my truck. Went outside and the Mall cop said we could not park in the bus slips and could not have a truck meet, but didn't push us out. Seem pretty cool about it and was spouting company line with a wink.
Went out and introduced myself to the gentleman in the Armada, "Carter6" as he is known on ClubArmada.com. Very nice guy with a handsome young son. We talked truck alittle while and showed each other what we had done to our riggs. He was as surprized as I that nobody showed. We exchanged screen names and e-mail addresses and he had to go get his hungry boy fed. I had to go find the GF again. Moved my truck since there was no meet, and went back inside. Came back out after 3pm and was starting to leave with my GF and ran into Tripleblack just heading in. Stopped just long enough to say hi and bye.
Sorry I could not stay and chat Triple, but I was ready to get back to the east coast after a 3 hour non-meet. I had to pick up a paycheck before 5pm and I promised some kids I coached and teach I would come see the final round of their AAU wrestling tournament.
The only saving grace was that the GF got some Christmas shopping done. To me, it was a huge waste of time and gas. Well except for watching two skanks in a white volvo puke in the parking lot. One out the drivers door and the other out the passenger door. Little early to be ralphing and tossing out booze bottles, but hey kids are crazy these days. First class citizenry.
I could have put the time to much better use. Never had this problem with the Frontier meets. We had pretty good turn outs. Good enough that I went to Orlando at least 4 times, and Tampa and Cocoa Beach once.
I know everyone has their own life and their own reasons for not coming or coming late. No problem there. I hope TripleBlack understands why I had to go. Hope everyone has a great weekend, whats left of it.

Re: Who's showin' in Orlando in a week?!

Finfan, I am sorry.

I got up and washed my truck this morning (which I virtually never do myself due to bad lower back), fully planning to go. Came inside at 11:00 and saw one more had dropped out before I left. I just figured it was no longer worth it. If your GF was happy that she got to go shopping there, then that was worth something. (Got to keep them happy.) I hope you got bonus points for it from her. You could have taken her shopping at Merritt Square or Melbourne instead of driving over here, and save the gas. We should have swapped cell numbers before hand and touched base in the morning. I would have liked to have met you. Maybe next time, if we can ever assemble enough people.

Yeah, it's a problem. I felt bad later not knowing if anybody came from farther away and having no way to check. I am truely sorry.

Re: Who's showin' in Orlando in a week?!

Hi guys. No Problem FLfinflan. Sorry I couldn't come earlier. I had earlier commitments but said I would be late on page one of the post. I can't blame you for leaving. I would have. I expected 6-12 guys would be there. Oh, well. Next time we need to organize I guess instead of everyone just saying yes but not showing. I used to go on vette rides all the time. We'd get 20 guys together no problem. I was hoping to hear some exhausts, etc. Hopefully next time.

I really wish I could have made it. Had it all planned out, but stuff came up. I would have ended getting there with no time to hang out. Let's do this again, sometime
