Dealership to stay away from!

I'll try to make this short. I bought my 06 titan from Kraft Nissan it Tallahassee. I'm from St. Pete which is a little over 3 hours away. I went up there to get it because it was the closest dealership that had the truck that I wanted. I put a deposit on it on a monday and went to pick it up on a saturday. When I got there to get it I looked it over and on the right side bed area it had a small (nickel sized) dent and 3 small scratch/paint chips on it. I asked the salesmen about it and said oh i noticed that this morning when the detailer pulled the truck up to the front of the store but couldn't have it fixed because there paint guy was unable to come on saturday. I told him I had to leave the next day to go home. He said He will make an arrangement to have it taken care of at a dealer that was local to me. So when i took it to them there paint guy said he would suggest painting the whole bed side for $600. When i told my salemen that he said they can't pay that much because I got it for such a good deal that they would lose money. I told them i really didn't want to have the whole side painted anyway. So i found a local guy that does touch up and had the couple chips taken care of myself. All i asked of them was to pay for the paintless dent removal which would only be about $40 and send me a bottle of the touch up paint. He said he talked to the manager and he said he would only do one or the other. I left a message for the manager to call back but haven't heard from them yet. And to top it all off i bought the truck about 5 months ago and this has been ongoing since then.

I feel i was being pretty lenient with my desicion of not wanting the whole bed side painted and they still don't want to man up and make it right.

Re: Dealership to stay away from!

I don't feel bad but it does suck. I haven't heard back from them after the two messages I have left last week to speak with the manager. I'm not sure of the actual paint code but Its Granite. I did receive a check for $35 to cover the dent removal yesterday but that was it. I think i'm gonna wipe my a$$ with it and send it back.

Re: Dealership to stay away from!

nothing like spending 25 grand and have them treat their customers like this.

Sad thing is they think they are doing you a favor.

Re: Dealership to stay away from!

I called nissan today and the lady apologized and said she would forward my complaint to the regional manager. He is suppose to call me back by the end of the day tomorrow. We'll see what happens.

Re: Dealership to stay away from!

I Would Love To Tell You That Nissan Is Going To Take Your Problem To Hart. But Since I Work For Them I Will Tell You What Will Happen Next. That Call You Made Will Just Get Posted In An Email To The Manager At The Dealership You Are Having Problems With. And He Will Tell Them All Fixed And Nissan Will Close The Complaint. What You Need To Do Is To Call Nissan Back And Tell Them You Dont To Talk To Any Emploee Of The Dealership, You Want To Talk To Someone Who Works For Nissan North America.
