Warranty

I just found out that if you lift your truck you void your trans warranty..I broke a mount & the dealer wants $500 to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Warranty

If the trans mount looks like my 4x2 mount, You should be able to replace it yourself and maybe $30 for the part.

Re: Warranty

I am going to fix it myself, the only place I can get the part is from the dealer . $100.00 They said it was my lift that VOIDS the warranty. I think that's B.S.! But what can you do?

Re: Warranty

Dealers sell lifted trucks. Does that mean they sell them without warranties?

Re: Warranty

Your dealer is feeding you B.S.

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/.../warranty.shtm

They have to prove your lift caused the failure.
