Hey bud, glad to see you chime in on this. The track idea is good but the only time we can do it at the orlando track is friday night....they wont let us do it on Saturday. Thats what I got from their website. If you guys want to contact them go for it, a friday night cruise at OT and a Sat track meet would be fun!
As Steve mentioned, the best time to do a track day in Orlando would be on one of their "Funday Sundays" which would mean a long weekend for some. The Bradenton track might be available Saturday mornings though (2 hour drive from Orlando) and I'm sure there are other tracks "close enough" if Sunday is not possible. I just like to race but I'm good with whatever ends up happening. If you have a particular date or dates in mind, I'll call some tracks and see what I can come up with.

I think for most of us Sunday is out...we have to head home for work on Monday....Hmmm
Seems like we have 3 options so far.... although the 3rd is a bit sketchy due to track availability
Option 1:
Friday= everyone arrives and go for the Friday Night Cruise at Old Town and Dinner afterwords
Saturday= we all meet up at Old Town at a specific time in the A.M. and convoy 40+ trucks to a park for a fun day including a cook out.
Option 2:
Friday= everyone arrives and we meet at Old Town at a specific time and convoy to the track for Friday night races

Option 3:

Saturday= we all meet up at Old Town at a specific time in the A.M. and convoy 40+ trucks to a track (if available) that would be a 2hr drive for a funday and cook out.
I would love to do a theme park but man tickets are just too dang expensive...

No, this will be in October during the Old Town meets Cruise
So that Friday night at Speed World? Sounds good to me! I wonder how may others that come down for OT would like to do something different for a change and "cruise" the drag strip instead of Main Street at OT - there's a lot of folks coming I would love to race. The track is only open to about 10PM so that leaves plenty of time for dinner and a few beers afterwards too!
Now let's figure out where to party Saturday! If only we had an expected head count...

So Steve got it. I wondered... Congrats! That raises the bar a little for some of us down here... I guess I'll have to dig deep - there's still time... I don't want you to get too far ahead again now that I'm starting to catch up

You guys are on your own with Old Time, their are a lot of us that are over the Old Town meets. This will be a TOTALLY seperate meet from Old Town. MT can do whatever they want with OT. This will be like Daytona meet but a weekend meet. We are working on some ideas right now. For a good deal of us this will take the place of the OT meets. Bigger, Better, and re-vamped!
