You guys are on your own with Old Time, their are a lot of us that are over the Old Town meets. This will be a TOTALLY seperate meet from Old Town
Quote:
Seems like we have 3 options so far.... although the 3rd is a bit sketchy due to track availability
Option 1:
Friday= everyone arrives and go for the Friday Night Cruise at Old Town and Dinner afterwords
Saturday= we all meet up at Old Town at a specific time in the A.M. and convoy 40+ trucks to a park for a fun day including a cook out.
Option 2:
Friday= everyone arrives and we meet at Old Town at a specific time and convoy to the track for Friday night races
Saturday= we all meet up at Old Town at a specific time in the A.M. and convoy 40+ trucks to a park for a fun day including a cook out.
Option 3:
Friday= everyone arrives and go for the Friday Night Cruise at Old Town and Dinner afterwords
Saturday= we all meet up at Old Town at a specific time in the A.M. and convoy 40+ trucks to a track (if available) that would be a 2hr drive for a funday and cook out.
I would love to do a theme park but man tickets are just too dang expensive
This is what you posted, so instead of going to the Cruise, I am saying we will go to the track like we have every year (the guys who race), you are the only one mentioning OT...I never once mentioned going to OT in my post, you mentioned the OT cruise...I said "instead of the cruise".

I hope Im reading your post the wrong way but if not O well..... Im not the only one mentioning OT. See your post below, that is the reason I was trying to clarify. Clear as mud right? LOL I was just making sure that those reading this thread knew this was a totaly seperate meet from OT. We are trying not to segregate this meet like what OT's Friday night has been done. But as always majority will have to rule. I have tried checking into the tracks down there to see if we can hold a meet Saturday but the only time is Friday night.....
This is whats hard about planning a meet. You will never please everyone or if you do you end up with a few "mini meets" going at once.
So all in all you like option #2? LOL LOL this meet planning gives me a headache

No, this will be in October during the Old Town meets Cruise
I mentioned Old Town to say that I will not be going to the cruise, I'll be going to the track most likely...Now we probably don't have to go to the track that night, but its what we normally do, I'll have to speak with the other track junkies. I know when I get my PGM, I'll be wanting to hit the track every chance I get...We can do whatever the rest of the weekend, doesn't matter to me. I think BBQ at a park would be the easiest to organize...Bring some lawn chairs and tents and eats some chicken...Bt I'm down for whatever is decided upon
I'm liking #2 also... I don't want to leave anybody hanging (those that don't want to race) but it is a lot of fun to get a bunch of T's at the track at the same time, particularly if some folks we don't usually see show up. Besides, I want to see Steve run with that PGM too
That said, I am pretty "easy" (ask anybody that knows me, except Brad maybe...) so whatever the majority decides will be fine - I just want to meet!
Picnic/BBQ on Saturday seems to be acceptable to everyone so let's figure on that.
WhiteNite, I'm still looking at park options. We need a rough head count though. You have to rent a pavilion for more than a small group at most of the parks I've checked and those usually have max capacities too. Parking lot size could also be an issue...

You do not have to rent a Pavilion at Fort Christmas Park, and they have a lot of them..Just have to try to get there fairly early...They also have picknick tables everywhere.....Lots of parking area
They both look good to me! Particularly Fort Christmas... Lake Mills looks interesting from what little the website says but it would be a really long haul if we were meeting at OT that morning... Still, color me "easy"

I personally would LOVE to go watch you guys race. But on the other hand say we pull 25 people that night, only 10 or so would race... Sucks they only have it on Friday nights. What time would we have to get there and what time does it stop?

LOL Im the same way, the cruise at OT is awesome but I also really want to watch you guys race.....I have never got to watch you guys go at it.
OK I think we need to get a poll going for Friday night. We know what we will be doing Saturday (will get a poll for which park later on). I will try and get the poll up in a little while. I have to go finish the lift on my hunting truck LOL priorities!!!!
