Re: What would your change

For starters the first change would be to use a common live axle either from Ford or Dana, nothing modified. So that any aftermarket differential LSD will work. Or the Titan should just come factory in all trim levels with a TruTrac LSD.

The VK56 needs an overhaul... it needs the new VK56VD with 400hp/420ftlbs. The 7sp automatic should come standard and built up some to take the abuse of towing 10,000lbs.

A 6spd manual option should be offered in all trim levels.

Actually for the BASE titan XE version, should come with our CVTCS VK56DE 320hp/390ftlbs, and a 6spd manual transmission.

A Regular Cab shortbed should be offered only in base trim 320hp 5spd auto or 6spd manual, I highly doubt nissan is going to put a 400hp VK56 with 7spd auto into an RCSB truck... it would run 0-60 in 5sec flat all day and 13sec flat 1/4 mile lol... Kids would kill themselves..

The exterior lines should stay the same, some of the exterior trim pieces could be revised such as the grills and accents.

The Titan's current exterior is beautiful, the whole reason I bought the Titan!

Now the interior... go balls to the wall with all kinds of crazy features. SE and LE models should come with leather and center console shifter, and paddle shifters or shifttronic shifter. The gauge cluster has GOT TO BE the new cluster from the infiniti M56 and QX56 the blue setup...drool...

The stereo should be boston acoustics with 6-7in indash screen with GPS and back up camera.

The new titan should also come with the new upgraded NV3500 brakes, the rotors are quite a bit larger front and rear on the NV van compared to the titan.

And seriously a better designed radiator!!! with ELECTRIC fans!

Nismo should offer exterior packages such as flares, trim pieces, decals... and for performance... well... make a cool cold air intake and cat back exhaust and some sick azz 20 or 22in wheels. Similar to the Nismo 350z 5 spoke GT4/Lemans wheels.. or like my KMC rockstars without that stupid star cap.

A diesel engine for sure, CUMMINS inline 6, will do just fine... THey sound awesome! Plus I can put the Skyline RB26 style badges on it since its an inline 6 and people will freak out!

Other than that, Nissan really just needs to upgrade the powertrain in the titan, The VK56 needs another 80hp/50ftlbs, a 6spd manual transmission option and the 7spd auto. And a mechanical LSD, TruTrac or Torsen type...

If thats all they upgraded for 2014 was just engine and transmission and i could just swap that into my 2008... I would be content for many years.

As the Titan is the most beautiful pickup on the road today... if it was not.. then we wouldn't be on this thread talking about the upcoming model...

Re: What would your change

If Nissan wants to win Truck of the Year, they need to send their Corporate scouts to this forum! Or at least let ME have 3 inputs that are guaranteed to go into production!

1. VK56VD 420hp/450tq with upgraded cooling system
2. RE7R01B 7-sp automatic Transmission AND 6-spd manual transmission option.. Has go to be a dayum manual trans option!
3. Factory mechanical LSD such as Detroit TruTrac or any Torsen style.

Re: What would your change

I would really like to see a Panoramic sunroof option (see Porsche Cayenne) and please Nissan, make sure I can get a top trim level truck with a bench seat option, some of us really do like to carry 6 passengers occasionally and other times it's nice when my wife can actually sit next to me. I also need large mirrors, this goes back to my first car (truck) a 1987 Hardbody, even then you saw the benefit of large mirrors on a truck while Toyota still had those stupid little good for nothing bat ears. Keep up the progress, my Maxima lease matures Dec. 2013 so the timing sounds perfect!

Same here bro, I haven't had my '04 4X4 too long (less than 2 weeks) and I am already loving it. And I used to have an '05 Tundra XSP back when it first came out. I also plan on buying another Titan after this one.

Say it ain't so, would love to see a Diesel Titan come out

Re: What would your change

The new Titans need to be more "lift friendly", and an engine that gets better mpg.
