Re: Future Nissan Titan Ideas/Discussion/Suggestions?

I love my truck and its almost paid off but if it were offered in a 6 speed manual I'd be waiting in line at the dealership!

Re: i like what if situations so here goes!!!

I'd keep the Titan basically the same. It's a timeless original design and it doesn't require a full ground up redesign. I would do what Ford did on the '09 F-150 refresh. What I mean by that is I'd restyle it a little bit, but keep it pretty much the same. I'd would raise the front hood line (ala '09 F-150) to give it more of a macho or brawny "heavy duty" appearance in the front. Similar to the GMC Sierra. I would, if possible, extend the front and rear fender bulges out a little more. They need to bulge out more on the body to give it more road presence. I'd restyle the taillights, restyle the rear bumper and tweak the rear bib some, maybe even eliminate the black plastic part, but that's about it. I'd also raise the roof line a tad to add structural support underneath to comply with the new federal rollover standards coming into effect. That's it. The powertrain is already stout and really only needs vvt added to the exhaust cams and perhaps an extra overdrive gear added to the tranny to make it a 6spd. Of course, new wheels and trim packages would be included. I'd also consider adding a single cab model to the lineup and making the Frontier based 4.0L V6 with 5sp manual trans the base engine/trans on single cabs. Base XE extended cabs would have the same engine, but with 5sp auto.. Crew cabs and 4x4's would have the 5.6L Endurance/6sp trans combo standard. A small V6 diesel sourced from Navistar would round out the engine lineup for those who need a diesel.
