My '04 is a great truck, and has been for these nearly 60,000 miles, but I WOULD change a couple of things. I'll just keep my comments to the stuff that's not been posted already, with the exception of the axle stuff. You guys out there cratering diffys has me wondering, but I broke mine in the way the book said to, and it's quiet and works well.
Narrow down those stinking huge A-pillars! I have to lean right and left to see around the driver's side on our narrow and twisty country roads.
PUT A REAL TOW/HAUL MODE IN THE TRUCK. What's in there now, is totally useless. I've ranted in other threads about the useless Tow Mode. Enough said, here.
The tool box in the outside of the bed is a great idea, but make it strong enough to stand on! I'm an old f@rt and my knees won't stand stepping straight up on the bumper to get in the bed.
A thought on backup lights. We have technology that brightens cellphone displays in full sunlight, why not the same thing (real bright when it's pitch black) for backup lights? Wouldn't be that hard. A switch to turn them off when towing would be cool.
Nobody so far has mentioned how the gauges are almost invisible in bright light. Why not semi-analog indicators (like our gauges are) for gears and such? Such stuff isn't rocket science, but would add major stones to the cool factor.
Also, why not indicate what gear the tranny is REALLY in? Here's what I mean: Have an indicator that tells you what you've selected. Most times, it'll be OD. But have a second indicator that tells you what gear the tranny's in. This would be super-helpful for towing, when you want to hold the lower gear for just a minute longer to help with cooling.
I also don't think anybody's mentioned the heater ducting. Nissan needs to fix it so it actually warms your feet, and not your knees. Get a little older and have less-than-perfect circulation and warm/cool feet makes a BIG difference.
Since I'm talking about the heater, I for one would like to see better defrost/defog. Right now I have to crack a window to make the defroster work better. In my part of the country, humidity during the winter is a real problem.
And make the Big Tow mirrors so they come in closer to the body. I've already lost one to an idiot in a Ford who couldn't figure out that you're supposed to stay on your side of the yellow line. Or maybe the stupid trucks just handle that bad and he was trying to stay out of the ditch.
Long, I know, but maybe I covered points that haven't been made already.

XE passenger side doors have key holes. Especially the ones that have manual EVERYTHING. No power options at all.
All CC's have power windows so not everything is manual. And yes my XE has a pass side key hole but it sets off a factory alarm when I use it. I want to talk to the mental pygmy that thought up that.

Are you sure all CC's have PW?
Can't you just turn the alarm off before you unlock the pass side door? Problem solved...

my boat.......(needed a bigger truck).
Options in order:
2 degree timing advance thanks to Titanblue,
Fram AirHog, Nissan Hood Protector, Truxedo, Nissan XM receiver (mounted under steering wheel area as per Forum recommendations....worked like a charm)
with non-Nissan much smaller Xm antenna (mounted through Third brake light hole...piece of cake), and last....so far, PRG leveling kit (love it....no problem install after I realized that I really should listen to PRGreg about disconnecting the anti sway bar)
Hay EKOOL maby make a poll where you can click like 3 or 5 dots. then you could show it to nissan.
Anyways,
*Thicker paint, or good ol fasioned lead paint like the good ol days lol.
*Stronger Rearend
*BETTER INTERIOR MATERIALS (softer?)
*better hp/tq than tundra <----(notice "tundra" not capetalized, cause they suck LOL!!)
1. Thicker paint-especially in the rocker and hood areas.
2. Entire rear window electric up/down slider standard on all CC's
3. Get rid of the Goodyear SR-A's
4. Wiring Harness connection (about a 60-pin) behind the RF wheel should be better protected and possibly mounted inboard on the frame.
5. Higher quality CHROME on the bumpers, both on the outside viewable area as well as the interior. Mine are rusted to heck all ready.
6. Rear End Woes
7. Improve Fuel Mileage
8. Better Skid Plates

After driving 5 hours in the rain today, I feel they need to add 2 or 3 more settings for the intermittent wipers. They were consistantly either too fast or too slow, could not find a happy setting.

As far as I know, all CC's have PW's. None of my paperwork shows it to be eqipped with an alarm. I didn't know it had any type of alarm until I opened the pass door with the key. The dealer says thats just how it is, tough luck.
