I took in my truck to the dealer today cause I blew out my rack in pinion on my power steering. Anyways........since I get along with the manager and two of the techs, I asked them if its true bout the 400 horsepower "SUPER TITAN". They said it was true and they upgraded alot of the problems the TITANS have. Such as........beefier axles, beefier suspension components, frame, driveline, etc....

A friend from work has a titan, and was at the dealer today. He said the service guy told him the titan will get a different engine a 6 liter with 400 hp. The dealer told him there is no literature out on it yet, and they were building it to beat the tundra.
I think you have been mis-informed... as the 2009 Titan is a carry over model, they didnt change a thing.... and then I was reading an article in the most recent issue of automotive news and the current Titan will be discontinued after 2009, and will be introduced in 2010 as a "rebadged" Dodge Ram.... as Nissan and Chysler just recently created a partnership to share products. This next generation Titan will be a "rebadged" Dodge Ram and it wont even be built in the USA... it will be built in Mexico... sad but true.

what they hooking up with dodge;man I don't like dodge I hope it still have a titan look and power and low maintenance.I keeping my truck for a long time not buying nothing soon.I going to try to keep the truck tll it get about 200 thousands miles or more.
Yes, that is true. I posted it at another site......see if I can find it.
Something about the torque convertor disengaging.
-
"Nissan engineers tell us that fuel economy will be boosted for 2009 when Titan adopts a new torque lockup strategy. We’re expecting this to be accomplished through a new, more efficient multi-function torque converter for the truck’s standard 5-speed automatic transmission that will disengage from the driveline when idling at a stop and use a lockup clutch to quickly match engine and transmission speeds during acceleration. This should provide the Titan with a 1 to 2-mpg bump driving around town. Think of it as taking some of a manual transmission’s inherent fuel economy advantages and applying them to an auto gearbox."
being somebody that has driven manual transmission cars most of his life, I actually shift mine into nuetral when at long stops just to save gas, make less wear and tear on drivetrain componenets and what not....

Umm..
sorry... but you're a bit off on this one. What you wrote above was never published in Automotive News. What has been written is that Nissan will partner with Dodge to MANUFACTURE the new Titan, not DESIGN the new Titan. Nissan will design it, it will still use all the Nissan-designed kit, but it will be assembled at a Dodge facility in Mexico.
So for all that are afraid that the Titan will be a rebadged Dodge, fear not. It may be built in a Chrysler facility, but it will still be 100% Nissan Titan.
I sure wouldn't replace my Titan with a rebadged Dodge. That would be a massive step back.
