I had a Dodge RAm 2002 1500 Q cab.....and Liked the truck but Had way too many issues in less than the 2 years I owned the truck....I hope this is well designed and well thought out......I wanted a Titan since they came out and got one finally this year (used 2004) ...Man I dont know what to think of this....I hope the gas mileage is way better than my old Dodge if they use Chrysler engines.....

most people won't buy another nissan after owning a titan. I don't think dodge could do any worse with the truck than nissan has. Why would nissan invest more money in a market that is no longer existant? The current dodge trucks get equal or better (most cases) than you titan does. Do some research before you open your mouth.

What research is he supposed to do? He is upset the truck he used to own and didn't like, is getting into bed with the truck he currently owns and loves. No need to be an a$$ about it.

He was complaining that dodge trucks use too much gas. The truth is though that they are at least as efficient as the titan is in most cases. The very premise of his argument was out to lunch.

Since he has owned both, I would assume he is speaking from experience.

I would buy another Titan, if I became weathly and gas prices were no worry I loved my Titan, fantastic truck. I just can't justify one anymore as pure vanity, which is what my Titan was. It was like the Camaro I never had in high school 20 years go

Re: Nissan/RAM WHY! WHY????

The new RAM looks pretty nice. If it does get up to 18/23 MPG that truck will be popular (And the Titam).

Re: Nissan/RAM WHY! WHY????

Money is the main reason, Nissan doesn't want to put a bunch of money into R and D on a new Titan model when the truck market is in the tank right now, although I don't think people will want a Dodge Titan either, People either want a Nissan or a Dodge.

Re: Nissan/RAM WHY! WHY????

Well all I can say is when I bought my titan, I had a hell of a choice to make between the tundra and the titan. It took me a while, but I chose the titan. I guess when I'm ready to buy another truck, my decision won't be so hard.

Re: Nissan/RAM WHY! WHY????

Dodge Pickup are as fuel efficient as Titans? Maybe on the moon where gravity isn't such a big factor. To get the 9 to 12 miles per gallon Dodge gas burners get, I think Chrysler had to devote special engineering to them to get them to use that much fuel. Otherwise, it would not be possible. I have seen 5 gallon toilets that flush 5 gallons slower than a Dodge Ram gas burner.

The only good thing I can say about a Dodge is that the thing rattles so much you can't hear your wife or girlfrind complaining. Most Often Parts Are Required - otherwise known as MOPAR.

Re: Nissan/RAM WHY! WHY????

Hey Conn Rods a Dodge guy I dont fault him.

I can say for a FACT my Dodge with a 4.7 got 4 miles per gallon LESS than my 5.6 Titan.

We'll see what happens Like folks said if ou have engine options and the Nissan is still a choice for an engine I may just but one sown the road......but if the trucks have as many issues as the ones I know of.......Toyota here I come......

I know they're completely different trucks but my Titan on MT 35's gets better MPG than my Dakota R/T 5.9 ever got me.

They may get the same mpgs, but the nissan out performes the dodge is every aspect. When 09 comes around dodge should have a good half ton, (time will tell) but right now, the 1500 ram is a joke. All you got to do is some reseach to see that.
