Hi from WI

Hello, I am new to the Titan and Titan Talk (lots of good info here). Wanted to make my first post. Wasn't sure where to put it because I didnt see a new member thread, so I went with my area. Love the truck so far (this is the first truck I have ever owned). Oh, by the way, I have a 05 LE CC. Hope to see some more action from the Great lakes forum.

Re: Hi from WI

Greetings from MN!

I noticed you are a snowmobilier as well. I also have a 05' Titan LE CC. Mine has 998 miles on it and I haven't pulled anything with it yet. Have you pulled with yours yet?

I may have to at the end of February and I'm a little nervous about pulling ( 4 place-out west) with so few miles on it based on all the rear end failues on this site. I have the tow package but not the off-road.

Re: Hi from WI

That's cool. Where are you headed? I've ridden mostly the western U.P.. You may already know about this website, but www.johndee.com does a nice job of reporting on snow conditions. I'm assuming you've read the owners manual regarding not towing for the first 500 miles and then towing at 50 mph for the first 500 miles.

Let me know how the Titan pulls and if your transmission gauge goes past the half-way point pulling the trailer. I'm guessing you have a single axle 12 ft but may have a double axle 14 ft.

Re: Hi from WI

I didnt read the owners manual on the 500 mile thing, thanks for the heads up. I did turn over 500 miles on the truck today though. and I will get back to you next week on the trans temp.
I will be pulling a double axle 14' or a double 12', not sure on the length, its not my trailer, all I know that its a double axle.
Were going about 4.5 hours to the lower u.p., staying at the land o' lakes area and then riding sled north.

Re: Hi from WI

from MN. and welcome to the site!
A big congrats on your new truck!!!!!!
I hope she runs perfect!!!
I tow my Skeeter bass boat all summer in the heat and the trans temp gauge never goes above the middle mark even with the AC on and upper 90's temps. No problem there.

Hope you had a great trip and lots of fun.

Deep.
