No clue on the mushrooms - i didn't even know there was a market for them.

My uncles have a 3000 acre farm in western Wisc. They however just accepted an offer on it.... It might be sold in Aug. I'll be looking for new places myself. Morels are wonderfully tasty! They are often sold at the farmer's market for as much as $20-$25 per pound....but that's at the retail level....

Re: Madison WI Meet?

That's a LARGE farm. I don't know how central WI you are but if you ever want to take a drive to Nekoosa in the spring or after some wet weather I know a trail that gets pretty boggy.

I've also got some land up in Medford that consists of woodland and swamps in the notorious taylor county clay. Great bogging up there if you can justify the gas getting there, which is why I only get the chance around hunting season.

That sounds GREAT! My uncles accepted an offer that expires in Aug. They live in western Wisc. where there are hills to challange a good 4X4. I love going there in my Land Rover. Some hills are a measured 45*. So, by Aug I likely won't have a place to off-road or hunt.....I live just outside of madison, but boy do I like to drive my Titan!

Sure would be nice to get together when it finally gets warm outside. Jeez, this is the longest cold season I can remember. Seems like about 8 months with highs below 50 degrees.
