does anyone have any input good or bad on Charger boats, theres only one dealer that i know of in Alabama so they are purty rare... Anyway a buddy of mine is lookin at an 01 192 VF Foxfire for sale by an individual its a great lookin boat with a lot of storage, but thats about all we know about it... it has a Yamaha Vmax 175, and they are asking $10k

Good Motor, but haven't heard of a Charger. I am guessing it is a 19 footer from the numbers in the model. So that sounds like a pretty good price. I would try and offer a little lower because it is a boat that is not very popular

I did check there website too and they have a lifetime warranty on the composite of the boat. It might be a company that is trying to just start too. Kinda like a Legend.

Re: Charger Boats?

My brother had a 94 model. I loved that boat, I would buy one for 10K. the Hulls are known for turning on a dime.

Yea he told me today that a guy he works with had one back in the day. He said if you had the balls that you could be going 40 mph and just yank the steering wheel, and that thing would spin all the way around and not even come off of plane...

If I knew of somebody to buy my stratos I might just buy the charger myself...

Re: Charger Boats?

I am picking up a Charger TF296 tomorrow. It is in like new condition and the motor only has 25 hrs on it (Yamaha 200 EFI). I lake tested it today and it handled the wind on Lake Fork amazingly well. This one costs $14,500 but it is in such good condition I am paying it. It does have a blemish on the side of the hull. It looks like a stress crack that the guy tried to clearcoat over but it is hardly noticeable. Besides, if I have to spend a few hundred to get it fixed, I feel like it will be worth it. The same model for 2010 is nearly $40k and it doesn't look like it is any different the 2001. Charger has been around for over 30 years. I don't think they started using all composite material until around 2004 or 2005 so you may want to double check everywhere for soft spots.

Re: Charger Boats?

We picked it up last weekend for $9500 everything works perfectly except the trim gauge, it was definitely worth the price, probably my favorite boat I've ever stepped in...
