Re: Fish!

I have a 2 acre pond here on my place with catfish and crappie galore and a few largemouth bass. I feed the catfish (catfish food from the hatchery) and they stay in nice plump shape and very fiesty. Also fish a couple of local lakes - one for muskie and one for stripers. I took a 17lb 6oz striper in 2000 - she is on the wall. Mostly do catch and release anymore. Catfish from the pond is very very good but I get a lot more enjoyment seeing kids come over and land them. I have a ton above 10lbs. Also have a couple crappie in the pond above 15". Check out a couple pictures HERE at the bottom of the page.

Need to work on the pond though - lost a lot of water this year. Time to take out the trees around the pond.

Re: Fish!

I fish about 9 months out of the year, every year. Absolutely love it. Fall/Spring for trout in western Md. My best ever is a 26 1/2 brown weighing 8lbs. Spring/Summer largemouth. Best is about 7lbs out of my grandpa's farm in VA. He's got over a 100 or so in his 2 acre pond along with catfish weighing in between 15-25 lbs. Mostly catch and release, however I treat myself to a catfish fry or a trout filet every once and a while. Also Chesapeake Bay fishing for Stripers every year. Fun Fun Fun
