nice

my Titan has yet to haul deer nor feral hogs....yet. I prefer doe or sow, not to big, tender and finely marbled.

OT: what's your "deer rilfe"?

Good shot on the Doe. Good thing the buck's rack isn't worth mounting with that neck shot. Man, those look pretty healthy.

Hunting Pics (not for the faint of heart)

I took my Titan hunting again the day before yesterday. He seems to like it. He rejected the notion, however, of me trying to toss these two stinking marauders into his bed, after I slipped each of them a bitter little hypervelocity 50grain pill.

Both of them released the full content of their bowels as I hefted them onto the trailer. Full of feathers, rodent bones, beagle pup fur and pumpkin left over from Halloween, they were.

Very meaty and tender eatin, though.

Re: I took my Titan hunting again

I took the Titan hunting this past weekend as well. Pictures are at home though. Our main lease is in Lavaca county (Texas) where they have restrictions: No does w/o a permit (which we are able to get after much hassle). And bucks must be 13" spread or better, or a spike.

Saturday evening around 4:45 a nice looking 8 pointer strolled out. After watching him for a good 20 minutes I decided he was too close to call, probably around 12.5". He's still young though, I'll be watching for him next year.

Coyote is similar to housecat, but not quite as stringy or sour.

Looks kinda like your avatar has been par-boiled... I like them that way.
