So, I take it that it is kind of hard to catch and release with that style of fishing?
They probably just sink down after release!!!!!!!!!!
Anyhow any type of fishing is better than work. I personally like to go down to the Colorado River in my 16ft Crestliner. Bass fishing for me, too bad the Bass don't like to play.
Two buddies, my father and I are heading to Lake Texoma to kill the Striper next weekend, 4-20 to 4-23. I can't wait, even though they are usually fairly small it is better fishing than around here in KS.

I tried bass fishing once, but I don't have the patience for it. If I don't catch a fish in the first couple of minutes I go to a different spot.
A few months ago I did launch in my driveway. I actually pulled my boat under my carport and just waited for the water to float the boat off of the trailer.
I knew you had done that before, Chauvin is another good place for tide launches.
Actually the only time I can launch in my driveway is when the levee breaks from a hurricane. But I do have a boat launch on the opposite side of my property from my driveway. The road passes between my house and the bayou, so I have to drive across the road to launch on my bayou side.

Sounds fun, does that mean you flood alot? Or was it just because of the levee break?
