Re: Think you can catch a fish with a flashlight?

I have a 16 foot boat with a 23 hp go-devil. It has 9 500 watt halogen lights with a 5500 watt generator that I use for bow fishing red fish. When I drive around with the lights on mullet are constantly jumping in my boat, also get some shrimp jump in while driving. On a normal night I get atleast 20 mullet jump in my boat, and it is less than 20 miles round trip.

Yes it is for real, if you ride around at night in salt water with lights on mullet will jump towards the light.

Re: Think you can catch a fish with a flashlight?

Bow fishing is awesome, me and 2 friends usually fill my 150 quart ice chest to the top. Turn on the lights, drink some bear and shoot fish, just doesn't get much better than that. And believe it or not the bugs are not bad, never even use off.

Louisiana is the only state that allows people to shoot redfish, but here is a link to where I buy most of my supplies.http://www.sullysbowfishing.com I have a zebco 888 reel on my compound bows, I have 3 set up. I had some pics on that site years ago, but they have been taken off for a while now. I will post some pics tomorrow of the boat and the bows. IMO it is the funnest way to fish.
