Re: Hunting/Fishing Forum - Gauging member interest?

I would definitely like to see a fishing/hunting forum. I fish at least 180 days a year for salmon/steelhead.
I spent the weekend fishing for spring King salmon in 104 degree heat. We landed 16 out of 24.
This is a spring king caught yesterday by my friend.

This is in Alaska. I ship my "cat" and all equipment to Alaska every year and float down rivers for 2-4 weeks. I am the one on the oars.

My drift boat on my home river.

Me and a large King in Alaska,Lake Creek.

Same place.

Me and a steelhead on my home river.

Re: Hunting/Fishing Forum - Gauging member interest?

I am ALWAYS looking for somebody to go fishing with me, whether it is to Alaska or on my home rivers. I fish half the time by myself. I have even floated rivers in Alaska twice for two weeks at a time all by my lonesome. It is not recommended, but what is a fisherman to do?

Speaking of dove hunting, the birds are really starting to show up around here now that the sunflowers and millet are heading out. Hope we don't have a cool front like last year to push most of them out before opening day.

Well, if you end up with a cold front and/or unwanted rain, shoot it down to Dallas. We'll gladly take all you got right about now!

I know you guys are getting the heat down there right now. It's supposed to be 95 to 96 here in NC today, but that's nothing compared to the 110s I've heard of in the midwest.

Ya'll boys down in TX hang in there and fall will be here before you know it.

I'll be back here come December.

Re: Hunting/Fishing Forum - Gauging member interest?

Excellent idea, now why didn't I think of that??
Every year a couple of us post a few pics of game we have taken and we always get some negative feedback.

This would be a great place to share pics and tales of the hunt!!!

Sky, I also do most of my hunting alone, unless I am trying to get my wife or daughter a shot then I am in the blind with them.

I would gladly share a deer blind with you sometime.

Re: Hunting/Fishing Forum - Gauging member interest?

Does a half stick of dynamite or a granede count as fishing?

Blues...just how long have you been fishing that way? You might want to try a rod and reel while you can still "handle" it.
