We got our own forum now so all of you that participated in our poll - a big THANKS to all! I'm looking forward to tight lines and cupped wings, so let 'er rip with stories about all the outdoor places your Titan takes you this fall/winter. I'm headed to ND in a few weeks for waterfowl, and then will venture out to Kansas in December for more waterfowl and roosters. Looking forward to hearing how everyone does this fall, and maybe we can even get together and share some hunts and/or fishing trips.
Thanks again for all who helped this forum become a reality!

10 days till the Tennessee archery season opens...............Git-er-done!!!!!
I've already put a couple of stands up here at the house and i'm headed to the lease in the middle of the state this weekend to set my camper up and do some scouting.
Any other bow-hunters out there?
Lets hear from you and let us know what you hunt and what kind of equipment your using.
I'm still using my Mathews MQ1, it's served me well so far shooting Gold Tips and NAP Spitfires.
Course I Muzzleloader hunt as well, I am currently using a Remington M/L shooting Shockwaves in front of 120 gr of 777.
Good luck to you all!!!

I am considering a super accurate .22 for squirrel season this year. My two options so far are Kimber and Anschutz. What do you guys think?

Why spend that much on a .22 for squirrels? Just get a 10/22 and swap out the barrell and trigger with match grade and you'll do as well as with the other two.

Yep, bow season opened here last saturday. I work for a utility company, and i've been on 24 hour call since last friday. We are on a rotation for 24/7 every 9 weeks. But, I'll be bow hunting this fri and sat!! I use an older Alpine Archery Silverado Lite, Easton carbons and can't remember the brand of mechanical heads. They dang sure do a number though!! I don't have a black powder gun. I do have a shotgun and 30.06, both Remington. I love to bowhunt, but I really enjoy gun season, deep in the woods with my shotgun....
I'm heading to Sask. in 8 days for a week of waterfowln'. When I get back the MN waterfowl season starts. Currently, I have a trail cam up in the woods snapping picks of MONSTER bucks... Hopefully, I'll have some good pics to share. A couple of trips to Nodak in Oct for waterfowl and then deer in northern MN in Nov. Should be a great season!
Good luck guys.

A couple of my buddies stuck one each with their bows last Saturday. One of them shot an eight pointer in full velvet that grossed 137". I guess I will wait until gun season to deer hunt. My Dad just bought a 2004 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 4x4, so hopefully we will have some meat to haul out of the woods this fall! I am also ready for duck season to get here!!!

Both are quality rifles, and I like you am partial to the bolt actions.
But man are thet expensive!!! Since I like the bolt guns, [I only own two semi autos, a Belgium Browning 22, and an old SKS] I opted for a Ruger 77/22 for my squirrel gun. I toped it off with a quality scope and it is a tack driver.
BTW I am also a "meat" hunter. And I have been known to whack a few deer each year with one of my deer rifles. We eat venison in some form or fashion at least twice a week.

Surf the various gun web sites for good prices on Kimbers and Anschutz.

My hunting buddy and myself went to S/Central Utah mountains to hunt Blue Grouse last weekend. We shot 6 on the first day, and 8 on the second. 4 bird/day limit (two day possesion). They taste great ;-). Caught 30+ trout on Sat night (released all but 4 of them). Buddy caught about 15 or so.
Had a great weekend. Saw one cow elk, several Mule deer does, and had one Bull elk bugling (just above camp), all night on Saturday.
M/L deer hunt starts on the 27th of this month, and I may just go hunt a few Chukars this next weekend. The weather is supposed to be rotten, so that remains to be seen.
Happy Hunting!!!

well went out and did some scouting and found a couple of nice bucks and a giant lurking in the woods. The first buck is a monster that i missed last year and i guess he made it and is now even bigger. My guess is this buck will score 150 or more. The others were some nice 8's sorry for the pictures they are from my camera phone i had to use that since my batteries died in my other camera (didn't notice that until i got in the woods). well hope you all enjoy!

I have two 10/22's. Are you speaking from personal expirience? What were your average size groups @ 50 yds?
