Any Drop Shotters?

Hey guys/girls,
I was wondering if any of you have used the western finesse "stand out" hooks for drop shotting for bass? If so, can someone take a picture of the size 6? I want to know how big of a hook it is in real life.

Here is a link:

The idea of that hook is to have your hook standing straight out and in the up position. You can do the same thing by doing your palomar know then bring the line back down through the top of the eye. Same thing and you save the price of these hooks.

Ya. I do that. It's not hard. I just thought that these hooks would be easier.

Re: Any Drop Shotters?

palomar is the only know I use when drop shotting, only knot I've used that doesn't snap off when you hook a big'un
happened to me 2 weeks ago probably the largest bass I've ever hooked into 3 feet from the boat and *SNAP* I almost cried

Re: Any Drop Shotters?

You have to remember that the polamar knot puts a lot of strain on the line. It will cause breakage especially if you don't lube it while tightening it up. I live on and fish Clear Lake where you can get bit by a bubba fish any time. One of the things I do to help stop the line from breaking is when I have the knot tied I put a drop of super glue where the line goes through the eye of the hook. Don't know if it helps but it makes me feel better.
