God, please make it stop raining

I can't beleive this weather.

Just as soon as I got in my stand yesterday morning it started pouring the rain. I will hunt in the rain, but when it started storming around 9:00 I got out of there, I don't like being in a metal tree stand 20 ft. up a tree with lightening in the area. It's poured down ever since.

Oh well, it's gotta stop sometime and when it does the deer should really be on the move.

Why not? If anything happens, we'll just take it back to Bass Pro Shops. You did save the receipt, didn't you?

LOL, You think Joan will let us borrow the Xterra again?

BTW we are heading up there again next weekend, Dawn said I could ride Ole Dolly.

It finally stopped raining this evening, hopefully there will be some backstraps on the barbi soon.

D, Put a buggy whip antenna with a fluorscent flag on your tree stand....so that we can find it.
Make sure that it is a metal antenna, and don't forget to put a ground rod on the stand too. The antenna, and the smoke will make it easier to find.

Re: God, please make it stop raining

I waited on "your rain" here in NC, but it never materialized. Had a bunch of grass seed out thinking the rain that you all received would get it sprouted. NOT! Seems that much of it petered out coming over the mountains. I also had a duck swamp in need of some water that didn't happen either.

Bummer!

Yeah..............that's the ticket. Why didn't I think of that?

I have been known to temporarily "misplace" my tree stands in the dark.

Bummer is right, we had enought to share, it's a shame you didn't get some of it.

I'm heading over to my lease in the middle of the state tomorrow morning, I was over there last week and it has been extremly dry all summer, i'm hoping that they got at least some of the rain.

Re: God, please make it stop raining

i cant even express my frustration here with words...

SEND IT THIS WAY!!! East Texas is in a damn drought, our lakes are turning into puddles and ATV trails, we need rain!! Boating season for me ended back in July, thankfully the neighbors fishing boat can get into places my Crownline can't.
