Smoked a few locals this weekend...

Me and the hunting buddy stayed close to home this past weekend and were rewarded with a limit of mallards. We tried for the full monty of greenheads, but them darn hens always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when daylight breaks.

Not bad for a 60 degree duck opener.

Way to go, looks like fun. Its crazy to see all those ducks in a tornado landing at once at some of those southern retreats. I froze my butt off in my bow stand yesterday in 4 inches of snow and a temp of 12 degrees.

One of these I will have to give duck hunting a try. The problem for me is that here in Florida duck season is right during deer season and I am not to thrilled about strolling aroundon the gator infested waters with decoys in early morning.

One thing I like seeing is a happy dog after they know they did a good job working.

I would have if I had been driving it that day. I rode with my buddy on this particular hunt, so my Titan stayed in the garage.

It will get plenty of opportunities to haul some meat back to the house before the season is over this year.
