I got this big guy the second day of shotgun season. Here in the great State of Iowa, we still have to hunt with shotguns and slugs!

Oh yeah, he will be on the wall in hopefully nine months. This is by far the best deer of my life.

Very nice buck. Hopefully I will be joining the ranks of those who have harvested a deer this year. This weekend in Maryland is the second season for muzzleloading. So Saturday I shall be in the woods all day. Seen a few already but haven't really gotten a shot at one just yet. So wish me luck.
