Directly Under my Treestand!!

Believe it or not, this big guy ambled over to my treestand and laid down to rest for awhile during the deer season last month! Before long, there were a total of three of these juvenile males under my tree. I'll submit pics of all of them later. This is in Central Kentucky, of all places. I was hunting with a Kimber Montana rifle in 260 Remington caliber, but we have no legal season to hunt these creatures in Kentucky. I think that Tennessee has a huntable bear population.

Wow, quite a sight! I didn't know that male black bears would hang out together.

Good one! I was think I would have taken the shot if the focker tried to climb up at me. Then again how would he not know you were there at that range.

What size groups are you getting with the Kimber? By the way, you got me on that one as well.
