Re: ruger kp89

I like to say Ruger Semi's are kinda like pickup trucks; they are tough and get the job done. They are not like a Mercedes though if you get what I am saying.

Re: ruger kp89

I recently rented one at the range for a tryout.
Good gun. Fits my hand well and recoil isn't too bad.
Decided I would save my money for what I really want. A 1911.
Santa brought me a S&W 22A-1 instead.
Would rather have the Ruger.

Re: ruger kp89

i had a p94 for many years and ran about 1000 rounds through it and never had a problem sold it to a friend of mine and he has ran about 1500 rounds through it and still no problems. The rounds that have been shot out of it has been 50% handloads and 50% factory loads. If the KP89 is anything like the p94 then you should like it. Accuracy was good as well.

Ruger is OK for the $$$, but if you want a gun for a thousand rounds per picnic without spending "BIG" money go get a Baretta FS92...Mine has at least 8-10 thousand rounds through it already and not one problem in 8 years..The gun still looks almost new...
