NC surf fish'n

Oh, driving on the beach , backing down on a nice hole and letting the bait fly! If any Carolina guys and or gals love driving on the beach, you need to check out Freeman park at the north end of Carolina Beach. Cost is $10.00 a day or $40.00 for the year. I will try and plan a surf fish'n weekend in the fall if anyone is interested. Fort Fisher area has alot of offer as well. Fish'n, Kayayk'n and it's a real layed back, great place to unwind and just have fun. If you are the camping type, the Army has a rec area that has camping and a bar on site, so there is no need to drink and drive! A fishing peir is located on the bay side, just behind the camping area. Just throwing this out there.

Freeman Park is the north end.....sort of gotten lawless over the years and the town was going to stop beach driving all together. Now since it's a park, they charge you and I think it's great! The town has trash cans, porta pottys(not good in the summer) inplace and all around a nice set up. There is a guy that has a old 4X4 with a camper set-up that sells ice cream and junk food, even fire wood for those camping out at the park....dang! The Titan is a blast on the beach!!!!

I'm at Fort Fisher almost every other weekend starting May through September! I camp at Carolina Beach State Park.

Freeman has greatly improved.

$40.00 for a season is a great price if you go down more than 4x which I do. I am against however those who want to keep Fort Fisher open 24 hours because those that go out tend to leave their trash out there or catch and drop dead fish everywhere. Don't want to see it spoiled!

Going to get the kayak rack on real soon...might run into you at Carolina beach! Rod and reels are all in working order and ready to go. Life is a beach, hope to see you around.
