SO Cal Bass fishing.(Skinner)

Fished today with a friend caught and released 17 bass in about three hours. Nice day on the water here in So Cal. Nothing big caught but always fun.

I ride Honda quads but I work for a Yamaha outboard dealer. It is pretty funny because my wife works for a Honda Dealer so There is some good wars in my house about the two. I grew up on Honda dirt bikes and will never ride anything else, But yamaha makes the best Outboards out there IMOA Good catch on that though.

Fishing is far from relaxing. But I guess everyone has different ideas of fishing. BTW, Hondarider those are some healthy fish! Ever hit up DVL or Perris? Thanks for the post!

Re: SO Cal Bass fishing.(Skinner)

It's not the catching the fish for me it's making the time to get outside and relax a little. Some people are more serious fisherman than I am . I hope I'm not offending any of the pro's out there.

Love fishing DVL. We spoon for bass in the winter at paris but that's about it. DVL is just a fun lake to fish. So much structure. You have a boat?

No worries Project, youre comments are far from offending. For us guys that are really into it there is never a relaxing time when you fish hard, But there are times I like to go out throw out some bait and wait for a Catfish to come by and eat it.

Yah unfortunately I grew up with a hammer in my hand instead of the fishing pole or a rifle. I do enjoy it though.

You can always pick one up. A man can't live on hammers alone! Catching or shooting some thing is always good. Even if you only shoot paper.

Re: SO Cal Bass fishing.(Skinner)

I have to wait another week before I can get out. Season doesn't open until then. But with the late winter and cool water temps, the bass are not going to spawn until around mid to late May. I am working on getting the boat prepped and adding some interior storage enhancements. Musky season isn't open until late May.

Ya, I have a G3 176 with a Yamaha 4 Stroke. It is a great first boat! I have been meaning to get out to DVL. My boat is registered there (previous owner). But I have never been. It is about a 2 hour drive with a boat. But my grandma lives in Hemet so I should stay with her. I'm a little intimidated about going to a deep lake like that and a lake that i have never been to before. When does the topwater bite go crazy there? Has it already started? Topwater action has already began here in SD...early this year.
