Geez oh whizz! Why not shoot into an embankment or just plink some cans or plastic milk jugs filled with water? Gotta shoot steel plates, huh? Must be Canadian...

Re: .50 Cal

What stretches the odds of it happening even more...If you look closely, you can see the bullet bounced once off the ground in front of him before hitting him. Go out to Eastern CO. in early may... They have a fund raiser for the local fire Dept. They set-up a range that's 15 X 12 MILES! You can write your name in the sky with tracers safely. They also have: model planes to shoot down, a car at .8 miles driving in circles to stop, etc. 2 years ago they even had a Navy deck gun there. A friend of mine brought his "aircraft" .50 Browning... It has a higher rate of fire shooting .50 BMG's than an M-16 ! But be fore-warned... If it's dry out change your air cheaned before you get there and when you get home (or sooner), it can be VERY dusty!

The 50 works great against steel plates, just not with ball ammunition
