Tough animal

I had a friend send me these pictures the other day. This really shows how tough a whitetail deer is.

Did your friend shoot the deer? I sure would love to hear some more info on this. That is amazing.

I have no idea who, when, or where the deer was taken. I would think that he was pretty happy to go with that being stuck in his head. I would get it mounted just like that if I had bagged him. That's a hell of a buck even w/o the horn stuck in his eye socket. Makes you think what must have happened to the other buck.

I'd get that mounted just the way it is and place it in the front entry of my house, so every person comes in can ask me about it... wow! reminds me of the one my cousin had to shoot twice to bag... he shot it during bow week, left an arrow in it's shoulder and never was able to track it or find it, returned one week later, shot it again w/ a 7mm mag, knocked it down where it stood, and when he checked it, the darn thing had his broken shaft from the week prior sticking out of it's left shoulder...
