Any Muzzleloader Hunters?
|
I'm wanting to get into traditional muzzleloading, so I've been looking at some build-your-own starter kits. I don't want to spend a lot of money on my first rifle, but I don't want to buy something that won't shoot well, either.
I'm thinking about buying the Traditions Kentucky Percussion rifle kit. I don't really like the Hawkens personally, and I don't want in-line. I also don't want a flintlock to start with (though I'll eventually get one).
My overall intention is to hunt whitetail with .50 caliber round balls, so I want a 1-66" spin, which this one has, I think.
Has anyone bought one of these? Are they decent to start with?
Thanks.
