Just a few years ago my wife couldn't understand why I loved to hunt so much, so I took her with me on a hunt. It was the Muzzleloader season and as luck would have it a big ole doe stepped out into a clearing on the last day of the hunt. I shot and the deer went down, I looked at her and she had a tear in her eye but she was just about as excited as I was. I asked her what she thought and she responded "I think I could do that." And she has ever since.
She took this doe here at home yesterday evening. We were sitting in the same stand and about an hour before dark five does came into the food plot, trouble was they were about 150 yds out and she just didn't feel confident about the shot with her Muzzleloader. A few moments later three more does stepped out to our left, all within 50 yards of our stand. I told her to wait awhile, hoping that a buck would come out to feed. As daylight was fading the chances of taking a buck on this hunt were fading as well. I told her to take the doe closest to her. She took aim and when the smoke had cleared the doe was lying on the ground. A perfect shot!!! I love those 250 grain Hornady SST's.......BTW I love my wife too.

Thanks helo, i'll tell her. Yes it is difficult to get them all in. Thankfully the wife prefers the M/L season so I take her then and i'll be taking my daughter with me to the lease opening day of rifle season.
I went this morning to the same blind and saw 5 Tom Turkeys, a doe, a button buck and a four point. I'm almost limited out so i'll be holding out for a little bigger buck. Although I didn't snap a cap it was a great hunt.
We have a 13 inch inside spread requirement, although this is a good idea it really cuts your chances down quite a bit. I haven't seen a buck yet since rifle opened, but I am off for 21 days, then I go back to work for 7 days, then off for 7, then work for 7, then off for another 21. I am not going to miss but 14 days of deer season this whole year. So my odds are pretty good of getting a shooter. How many deer are yall allowed? We are allowed one buck inside of 13, and one with atleast on side unbranced, and 2 does.

Tennessee is divided into three hunting "units" A, B, and L. The county where we live is in unit A, but the unit where my lease is is in unit L. L stands for Liberal and with the right tags you are allowed to kill three does a day for the entire season. The season runs non stop except for two weekends for juvenile from the last of September into January.
Unit A you are allowed 2 bucks and 4 does on Archery, M/L you are allowed 1 buck and 4 does. Gun is 2 bucks. But you can "only" kill 3 bucks total, in other words you can kill 1 buck archery 1 buck M/L and 1 buck rifle, or two bucks Archery and 1 buck M/L or rifle, etc.
Unit L you are allowed 2 bucks during Archery and 3 does a day. M/L is 2 bucks and 3 does per day. Rifle is 2 bucks and with a permit which anyone can purchase you are allowed 3 does per day. But again no more than 3 bucks can be killed in any of the combined seasons. And only 1 buck can be killed per day. So legally if you kill a buck in the morning you have to wait untill the next day to harvest another buck. The regs make it look like Unit L is overrun with deer, and in some parts it is, but for the most part you may hunt all day without even seeing a deer.
I've already killed 3 bucks [two Archery and one M/L] but one of those was killed on a Management unit so it is considered a bonus deer. I am only allowed one more buck so I will be holding out for somthing bigger, and I am in no hurry to kill a doe as we already have four deer in the freezer.
I do wish that we had some sort of antler restrictions in place. Maybe not as stringent as yours, perhaps something that allows you to kill any buck first and then require either an antler point or spread restriction.
I don't consider myself a "trophy" hunter i'm a "meat" hunter but it sure is nice to take a big one every once in awhile.
How many can you kill during the Kaiserblade season?

There is no limit if you use a Kaiserblade, lawnmower blade, etc. But........you have to have special permission from the Administrator of the "Nervous Hospital."
I'm prepped for the cold weather, spent all day in the mountains yesterday hiking around with my crazy friends.
It was 28 when we started.
Great!!
You sat in the same seat that Dawn killed the deer while turkey hunting. The deer she took was on the left. She had to stand up and shoot out the left hand window.
It was cold in the "shooting house" yesterday morning, I wish that I had taken my camera or better yet wish that Turkey season was on. I had 5 big ole Toms in front of the big stump.

Okay then, I give you "Special" permission, because you are so special.
That sure is pretty Doe, congrats to her and you for getting your wife out there. I wish my wife would hunt but she couldn't kill an animal but that's okay.
That Doe would make a nice mount.
