Just found out my buddy got picked for the Maine Moose lottery this year. I'm his alternate so we both get to go. We got the September season for a Bull. I cant wait to go!

Re: Cant wait!

Sounds like fun! I got to tag along on a Utah Elk hunt last year with a friend.
Even though I wasn't carrying a rifle it was a trip of a lifetime with memories i'll cherish forever.

Good luck to you and your buddy this Fall.

Re: Cant wait!

I drew on a late season bull elk hunt here in Northern Utah. I'm pumped!!! They only give 8 tags for this large area and it should be an excellent November hunt.

I've also put in for moose for several years and that would be an awesome hunt! Have fun!

Re: Cant wait!

In Maine you have to sign up for a lottery and they tell you what season and what zone you get IF you win. So we were assigned to zone 4 that is up by the Allagash. I've included a pic, the black area is our zone.
