Step 2 Push the high spots of land into the low spots
Step 3 Grab a Miller Lite and admire your handiwork
(It shouldn't be much harder that cutting down my tree)
I think i'll bypass steps #1&2 and go right on to #3.

He's got a lot of trees. . .I was just thinning out the herd.
Now that's funny right there.
Good thing it wasn't a trophy "tree" or i'd be charging you a trophy "fee."

I suppose you already know that I am not surprised by your response
I actually had a Bud Light last night...first one this year. Cutting firewood makes a guy thirsty.

Tennessee, I was just going through the orriginal pictures and noticed it looked like I could see a couple of deer in the brush to the right. Maybe just more brush. Sure looks like deer though. By the way, nice turkey.

You have a good eye TallTexan, there are indeed three deer in that pic. One is standing partially hidden by a tree with the yellow sign on it. [the wife has signs all over our property, that way all I have to tell her is I will be hunting by the "clover patch, the crows nest, etc." and she will know where I am] The picture was taken just minuites before the turkey I killed came out. It had been a slow morning untill around 10:30 or so when all the critters decided to show up at once. The deer didn't hang around long after the shot.

Yep, I was thirsty. I had just helped my friend load up some firewood from the tree.
The tree is nearly down. Just a 40 foot tall stick right now (albeit one that is 5 feet in diameter.)
I believe that I saw a tear in the neighbor's eye on Saturday....but it wasn't his tree to hug anyway. Maybe he should plant his own if he is so concerned. I am going to replace the Cottonweed with a couple of Shademaster Locust trees. Maybe he will get the idea and plant some of his own....Nah, that would mean parting with some coin...nevermind.
Shoot anything over the weekend?
Later

Yep, loading firewood will tire you out no doubt about that.
You could always make a giant totem pole out of that big stick in the back yard. That would make the neighbor happy.
Didn't do any hunting over the weekend. The wife had me out "car shopping."
She's over the SUV stage and wanted somthing kinda sporty and somthing that gets better gas mileage. [sounds like a midlife crisis to me,lol]

I closed out the FL spring season at my Dad's place with a bang -- literally, on Saturday. The morning hunt was unsuccessful, with the gobbler only gobbling about 8 times, then shutting up before I could get in a good position on him.
We then rode around a few places trying to hear another one. At 11:30 we rode past a clover field, and saw one turkey on the back side of it, about 200 yards away. With the binoculares I could see it was a gobbler. I was able to ease down the edge of the woods to about 85 yards of him. I got hidden in the bushes the best I could and stuck my decoy in the field, about 10 yards from where I was sitting. I started calling and he gobbled a couple of times and strutted to 28 steps of me. Because it was rainy that morning, I didn't bring my camera but was wishing I had. He looked great with the sun shining on him, strutting through the clover. Best hunt I've had all year. He was 18.8 lbs, 11.5" beard, and 3/4" spurs. I'll put up the pic tomorrow; didn't bring the SD card to work w/ me.

Sounds like an exciting hunt. Congrats to ya on a nice bird. Be sure and post some pics asap.
We are going to give it another try tomorrow. I was planting seed in another food plot yesterday and the turkeys have been tearing it up. Hopefully they will still be around.

Got any more trees for me to kill?

I just got off the phone with the Forestry Dept. They reccomended me putting you in the shooting house. Said you weren't as likely to hit anything but dirt.
It's gonna be hot tomorrow!! Better bring plenty to drink.
