A few game cam pics from this week

Pigs have been slow latetly, this is the only one that I got on cam this week.

A bob cat, the camera isn't quite fast enough to get a good pic.

A coon not wanting to share the corn. But it looks like some antlers may be coming out.

Man, that's a fat hog!!
I've never seen a Bobcat on my property, i'm sure they are around though. I have seen a few Foxes from time to time, and Coyotes. I give the Foxes a pass, but never pass on a Coyote.

Yep I see some horns sprouting on that deer. It never fails to amaze me how fast antlers grow.

I set the trail cam out the other day, as soon as Turkey season ends i'll start feeding a little corn and try to get some pics of what is around.

Is the camera motion detection type that records only when something moves? What brand do you have? Review?

That bobcat is awsome, I love those things.

I haven't ever got a shot at a coyote yet, and haven't seen any foxes on my property, but see them on the dirt road. The deer seem to almost disappear around hear during the begining of summer, then they usually show up a few months before hunting season. I know they are still around, but they don't go to corn. I wish I had some turkeys, but I think the ants are taking their toll on them.

I am starting to see more bobcats. I didn't see one for the first year I was hear, but now they are starting to show up. The cam I have is a moultrie 4.0 megapixel with flash. Yes it only takes a pic when something activates the motion sensor. I can set it to take video during the day, or just take pics. I will take up to 3 pics with each activation of the motion sensor. I really want one of the cuddy back cameras but they start at 300 bucks. I bought these from walmart, they usually run about 100 bucks, but have found them for just under 80 bucks. The cuddy backs have a instant trigger, and have less false triggers. My cameras take about 3 seconds before it will take a pic, and the cuddy back takes a pic in less than 1 second.

Nice pictures.

I finally broke down and bought a game camera. Set it up in place where there was to be NO logging. Dad was up at the property 3 weeks ago and guess what was on the front porch, yepper my game camera in several pieces with a note saying sorry with number to call. Oh well. I call the number and he said he would make a claim with his company to reimburse me.

What kind of cam was it?

Atleast they didn't just leave it in the woods, or move it so you would think it was stolen. I picked up my newest one in the cabelas bargain cave for 75 bucks. I saw them at walmart for 89 bucks, but most run 99 bucks for the one's I have.

We love living out in the woods, no neighbors for almost 3 miles. I can go outside, and it is just completly quiet.

I used to live with neighbors on both sides of me withing a hundred feet, I hope I never have to go back to that. I see my closest neighbor a couple times a month, but neither of us is ever more than a phone call away. Either of us would drop everything we are doing to help each other in any way we can. Man I love livining in the country. I paid less for this house and land, than I would a house this same size in a city, and I have land.

I just noticed you live in rockport. Air Logistics has a base down there, I am trying to get transfered to either galveston, or rockport but I am not having much luck. Right now I am working out of louisiana, and I am tired of paying louisiana state income tax.
