Re: What is your favorite type of fish to catch?/Today's report.

Someone just made a show about him adn that bass, I watched it and it was great. That guy went fishing for something like 170+ days straight trying to catch that one fish he knew was the world record. he caught it once when she was just under the world record. then he foul hooked it with a jig and it wouldnt count towards the record, but she was the record. Then not long ago someone found her dead and floating, apparently of just old age. They weighed her and she was almost 25lbs.... Great story though, i was impressed at his dedication at his goal.

Surpriszing as it is, they are not a carnivorious fish. They eat small animals in the sand. But there jaws can open to 180 degrees. They are the best eating fish in the sea, I eat alot of fish and spend lots of time on the water. I have eaten just about every fish available to the public. and Hogfish is BY FAR the best in the sea. They are even better than Wahoo for those of you who have eaten them. The only way to catch a Hogfish is with a speargun, or if you get SUPER lucky with a shrimp.

I have been to Alaska 5x fishing for salmon & halibut. Kodiak has a reputation for big bears, never fished there. Saw a 400+ lb. halibut caught around Ninilchik by a 65 year old lady on one trip (those two 250 lb. 25 year old guys that didn't have derby tickets had nothing to do with it). They had to dig a hole in the ground so it could hang free under the scale.

Re: What is your favorite type of fish to catch?/Today's report.

It depends on the mood I'm in.. I love crappie/bass fishing on a nice slow day. Sometimes it a lot of fun to take out the bigger rigs and go for some striper or blue's.
