Re: Morels??

Do they involve kool-aid and boiling water?

Re: Morels??

I found a lot of them this time last year. So far I haven't found any this Spring. Probably too much rain is washing the spores away.
I'll keep looking, hopefully when the rain stops they will start showing up.
They are my favorite "shroom." About the only one I can really identify.

Re: Morels??

Before I moved I let a few of my neighbors look for them in my yard. They would always find a couple grocery bags full of them and I didn't really care because I never bothered with them. The shrooms also caused some disputed and comedy though because we head some meth-head neighbors (they actually busted them and SWAT blocked off the roads at one point) that thought they owned the land from like 100 years ago and 30 years before there was even a house on the land and they thought they could come on my land and do what they want. Long story short the cops came and took care of them on more than one occasion. but I was told I had one of the best areas for them in the county but I don't know and was pretty much clueless.

Re: Morels??

I looked for some last weekend and didn't have any luck, like TN Bowhunter said, we have had a lot of rain around here and that probably hasn't helped out much. I'm going to check another spot this next weekend.
