Man yall should be loaded with frogs. Any fresh water around your area would hold frogs.
Ive never seen a frog of that size around here, I always see frogs anywhere from the size of a quarter to the size of a credit card fully extended. I got a lake right in front of my house too

PETA can go and kill their own frogs they are not getting mine.
I cleaned these at work, and we have a gay helper. You should have seen his face when I was cleaning them. They were still alive, so I had to smack them on a piece of concrete. One of them let out a moan when I hit it, and he about blew chunks. I was LMAO.

The biggest one of these were about a foot and a half long. Do you hear any croaking noises at night? If so take a boat and a spot light and look around. Their eyes don't really glow like other animals (they do to a certain extent), but it is easier to look for their white throat. Once you spot a few you will see lots more, it is kind of a learned thing.

You really should. It might surprise you what is out there at night.
Lets say I do find one, how would I go about preparing it? It might be the fact that the lake has houses in nearly all of its shore so maybe thats why the frogs dont like it there?

Smack it on the concrete, dip it in flour and fry it. At least that's how I interpreted it.
Frogs are good stuff. There are actually a few stores around here where you can buy them. I used to be able to catch them with a fishing pole and a large mouth bass type jig. Just walk along the edge of the water, and hang the jig about 6 inches above their heads, and they would freak out. I never really ate those cause my pond had a ton of field run off. I just couldn't stand them at night.

And that reminds me I need to find somewhere around here with alligator. Tail meat has lower fat than beef and it's really high in protein.

I grab their hind feet, and smack their head on something hard to kill them. Then I cut the head off with a pair of sheers, and pull the guts out. Then cut the feet off at the last joint. Then the skin just pulls off real easy. Make sure you cut around the joints in the legs to severe the tendon, or it will snap closed in the hot grease and may throw hot grease out. Batter and fry. Nothing to it.

I alligator hunted for a couple years when I was younger, and man I love alligator. When I was living in Louisiana I would take one or two a year for the freezer, just don't get caught.
