LMAO, I have been working on a deer stand all day today. Bought some pipe today for the legs, and have to grind down the posts that slide into the legs. Then have to build steps, and cross braces. Then I have to cut all the wood our and stand it up. Then put all the wood in place.

The problem with that is when I have people over I don't want to work anymore, all I want to do is goof off. But goofing off is always more fun.

Yea, you grew up in Pointe Aux Chenes, correct. That's not the swamp, that's the salt marsh, haha. Or like I was once told while getting directions, "go till the crows don't fly."

Of course goofing off is more fun. I'll work with you as long as you're not feeding me beers through the whole process....then I just get goofy

Montegut, but close enough.

LMAO, we all get goofy then. I bought a frame that a guy put together, and he used a weird size for the leg pipe. I had a hell of a time finding a piece of pipe that would fit, so the one I bought really doesn't fit. I have to grind down the metal so the legs will fit over it. I will take a pic in a few.

Here are the pics. The legs are 12 foot, window height is going to be around 15 feet.

With one leg installed.

Yeah, I like to be comfortable especially on those cold days. I have glass windows for it, and there will be 360 visibility. I will have plexiglass where the window aren't.

Man, I hear ya. Once you're finished, there are going to be some jealous hunters, haha. Out of the elements and bugs with room to move without falling out/off.

Most of my stands are similar to this one. I only have 2 that lean against trees, and 2 that I never use that are climbers.

This is my newest spot, it is where the protein feeder is.

The first box stand I put up.

Got this one stood back up, but it is in serious need of repair now

And this tripod, the one I am building is going in this spot. Stood this one up once and the wind blew it over again. So I am leaving it like that until I get the new one built.

Neat. I see some similar to the first two you posted. And yea, gotta get the leg stance right to survive moderate winds. Wouldn't it totally ruin a hunt, if you were in one that blew over, haha?

I should have tied them down. We had winds over 60 mph that day, and it was from the right direction.
