I have the Max Energy on my FFV Titan.

Getting ready to do some testing with the E85.

Re: Welcome HyperTech!

Max Energy tune on E85, now that ought to be interesting. I'd love to know the results.

My actual question wasn't for running E85, but I was wondering why only the Max Energy was listed for FFV and not the E-con as well. However, I would like to know how these programs run with E85 so that I don't have to keep switching back and forth I as use E85 every time a new station starts up in central Misssissippi due to their $0.85/gallon grand opening prices.

Re: Welcome HyperTech!

The E-con is designed for 87 Octane tuning.

The Max Energy has both 87 and 93-105 Octane tuning.

The higher Octane program is required for the E85.

This is what I understand it to be, but you can PM Darnell for more specific info!

Re: Welcome HyperTech!

Yes, ethanol being 105 octane and E-con only for 87 octane, no E-con for FFV vehicles makes more sense now.
