I can’t officially sign up drivers for the club till we have some Pit and Statistical Crew members in place but a lot of people have been wondering what the heck is going on with the whole IRC VK56 sub forums.
This thread is for all the drivers who just want to race and have fun with those that have the same thing in mind. I myself have a passion for the Drag Strip but that’s not the only game in town because we have guys participating in all types of racing with the VK56 engine and we want to hear from all you Racing Drivers in this thread. What type of racing, where you do it and how often for starters so we can get the ball rolling on some future Race Event planning.
This thread is a little premature but we will be organizing Racing events in the future and need racers to participate. If we have enough drivers in the same area we may have some informal meets until the club gets rolling with fully sanctioned IRC VK56 events.
Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself in this thread if you choose and to get things rolling I will start it off.
My name is Brian, I own a Titan and I love to race. I am what might be called a “Serial Racer”, I just can’t help myself, lol. I will race against anything with four wheels and an engine and I was recently ticketed for fishtailing my Titan. I’d pay 200.00 for a video of the female cop saying “But yayayou didn’t even slow down” after I told her I just gave it a little too much gas and the back end got away from me, lol.
I can be found at the Speedworld Dragway in Bithlo Florida most any week of the year. My goal is to race my Titan down the strip in under 14 seconds and have a lot of other Titan owners join me in this quest for fun.
Anybody else want to go fast and have some fun? Tell us about it in this thread and don’t worry, nobody from the club will spam you with unsolicited club membership requests so feel free to tell us about yourself and your racing.

My name is Brandon. And I like to use my Titan in corners. I love taking corners at speeds in a vehicle that is not supposed to be going that fast in the first place. My favorite setting for my highspeed jaunts are actually backroads. Here in Ohio, there is an area with a ton of twisties in a certian backroads area. And the group of people that I hang out with think its funny that I can keep up, and actually maintain speeds faster than others. I would really like to see how my Titan would perform on a road course though. I was tossing around the idea of hitting up some auto-x with it, but it's too damn big for the courses. Anyway, I hope to be able to have my Titan represent on the road courses, or wherever there are corners.

I plan on lowering it for increased cornering ability. Cams are a ways out there. As to drifting, I would love to see the Titan drifting. But, I've had bad experiences trying to drift, (read: nearly flipped my car), so I'm chillin' on the drifting.
my name is larry , I enjoy driving my titan, racing it all for fun, just wondering how do you become a "offical" memeber of this club?
Applications for Pit Crew will be accepted by any member of the IRC Crew Chiefs and all you need to do to apply is submit a PM to one of the IRC Crew Chiefs with your given name, screen name/names, email address, phone number and address along with the crew position you are applying for and few words describing why you believe you would be good at it and more importantly good for the club.

Definitely will help, I have mine lowered with the RAS on the rear and love taking on-ramps for i-95 at like 50-60 when cars are doing it at 30-40.
Get a trutrac and it becomes alot easier to drift...

What's RAS? I take the highway ramps here at usually twice the legal limit. My favorite one is this one ramp from 275 West to 75 North. It curves down and to the right with a posted limit of 35. I take anywhere from 65-90 depending on the conditions. Plus part of the road has a nasty bump that upsets cars as you go over it, and I found the angle that you can hit it at and not lose control. Freaks my friends out. As to the drifting, I know eventually I'll try again. I just don't want risk destroying my truck like how I almost did with my car.
Roadmaster Active Suspension, I got it to increase my towing ability since I have lowered the truck and the lowering springs are weaker. It also provides the same benefits of a sway bar and traction bars. www.activesuspension.com

Well done, Spoken like a future Pit Crew Chief. Applications for drivers are not being accepted yet but that's not far off.
Oh I know but especially with you having IRC avatar I didn't even look at the name and just assumed it was papa. Keep up the good work.
Lol, I didn't upload my current avatar because I wanted to be able to spot my posts. In the end I wish everyone would sport whatever the club colors end up being though.
