Well it looks like I have until April to figure out how to get a 2.0x or 2.1x 60' on stock rubber without a truetrac. Good to see spring arriving so we can all get back to the track! BTW kuddos on swaying me to the traction springs instead of the prg traction bars.
I want to, I just praying that I can get my timing advanced before then. I can make the trip to get my timing advanced and get my truck on the dyno to see what if any gains there are to be had on the 08's then get it out to the track the same day. That is the plan. Not sure if its going to happen since I thought I would be getting it done yesterday and then today. I'm hoping that 3rd times a charm.
Good Luck M101. I did not state in my original post i ran the 14.62 in Full Street Trim, No DR's, Tailgate and Spare on, and 3/4 tank of gas. Ripp'em up, M101.
I'm still debating on going. Its been a long day and still no timing advance. I have to be at work in several hours and even though the weather is great I'm just not feeling it.
I'm going to try to make it back to the track next week.
Exactly one year ago I ran a 14.996 at 92.23 with only the air box mod and a K&N drop in filter.
I'm curious to see what I'll run now with the mods in my sig.
I've just recently added a Stillen CAI. The flowmaster muffler might set me back a little, but I couldn't stand the sound of the JBA muffler.
Any guesses on the new times???

I went against my better judgement with the tailgate on and a bit over a half tank and I got in a few runs. Something came up and I had to leave the track early so no time to play with the tire pressure. Weighed in at 5250lbs.
Best run
R/T .306
60' 2.251
1/8 9.794 @ 72.81
15.149 @92.49
all that is done to my truck at this run is air box mod advance and exhaust.
now i have a stillen cai and believe i am good for 14.60's. i broke my rear diff last week on my first run. but i will find out soon.
What kind of exhaust do you have? What year T do you have? Cuz', damn that's quick for a air box mod, exhaust, and advance mods. How did you do it? If you did that, i can do it too!
I plan on heading back to the track this coming Friday and I'll be running full street trim with very little fuel in the tank. My best was with 283hp and 330ft lbs, as of Friday I'm now at 301hp and 353ft lbs. Still no luck on getting a timing advance but with the power I'm making now I should have no problem getting into the 14's even with the additional weight.
Best time last night with 3/4 tank of fuel and no spare/tailgate. Weighed in at 5170lbs. Gonna take a timing advance to get me into the 14's especially with warmer weather coming.
R/T 0.499 60' 2.238 330' 6.412 1/8TH 9.804@72.38 1000' 12.736 1/4 15.199@91.71
I ran a 14.81 at 93.4 MPH last night. The temperture was also about 25 degrees warmer, than my stock run of 14.99.

Wish I would have just kept my 06 king cab since it was pretty light compared to my 08 crew cab. The 200lbs+ difference really shows in the 1/4 mile times. I'll be trying to get my truck as close to 5000lbs as possible this Friday and see what happens. Gonna have to make some room in the garage for tailgate, spare, tools, jack, step bars and tow hitch. That should get me there as long as I can get to the track with the low fuel light on.
It was a night of disappoints and a terrible DA didn't help matters. I'm getting some help on the ram air mod before we go to truck wars. At this point I need at the help I can get.
1st run 9:09pm
r/t .244 60' 2.448 330 6.691 1/8 10.120@71.72 1000 13.086 1/4 15.576@90.68
2nd run 9:58pm

This was with the low fuel light blinking and saying no miles left to empty, no spare/tailgate/jack&tools/tow hitch/stepbars. I was a dead even 5,000lbs.

The DA you ran in last night was about 1800' using Lancaster Texas Zip 75119 weather history, but the earlier estimated 5- 6:00 PM DA in Enis Texas was 2800'. I'm surprised the DA dropped that much a couple hours later. http://www.wunderground.com/history/...tatename=Texas

Same mods as usual just minus 150+lbs. Sucks that last time out I ran a 15.05 at 93mph and weighed in under 5,200lbs.

Yeah, it's amazing what a difference even an hour can make. When I ran my 13.85, an hour later I ran a 13.96 and actually had a quicker 60' time by a few thousandths. I check the DA on each and every slip because it fluctuates dramatically once the sun goes down and the humidity picks up.
What first clued me into the DA's was when I was bracket racing with some friends of mine. One of my buddies had a hand held weather station to check the DA with and although I thought it was overkill at the time, I have since changed my mind, lol. Those guys talk about running a particular time with a 7 or a 9 and what they mean is the time they run, say a 10.55 with a 6. The digit they are talking about is how many thousandths and to win the brackets at my track, you better have a .030 reaction time or better and be able to calculate how your vehicle will run to within .009 of actual time or you will be putting it on the trailer early.
I have so much more respect for the bracket racers than I used to because having tried to run with them and tell what my truck will run in changing conditions made me realize that you have to be part scientist to win at it.
