Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

Surprised no one has thought of this earlier? The camera is recording at 30fps. Considering how fast he's going, the lines arn't going to appear as fast as the trucks actual movment due to over speed and capture time with the video.

I love it though! I wonder what other people think as they see a white titan blowing past them.. sucks if a state trooper or local PD cought you though. Impound that truck and off to jail you go LOL

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

I didn't even think that was possible...

A couple weeks ago another KC Titan raced me and at 110 he was pretty much sitting still...for some reason I kept pulling but not anywhere like that.

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

Stock Tune is speed limited to about 112 MPH. 140 is possible and has been done by a couple guys IIRC. Takes about 375-400 RWHP to push a Titan that speed. Go to Wallace Racing-Drag Racing Pontiac powered Firebirds,Trans Ams and Dragsters for a wide variety of calculators to determine what is possible, given the variables of Weight, Drag Co-efficient, Frontal Area. Numbers were available here a couple years ago. I hope no one ever does run this on a open highway though.

I bet his fuel gauge was going from F to E faster than 140mph!

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

wow, dude. its pretty impressive seeing a T go that fast, but at the same time..that is a huge risk. i get nervous going 95-100 because it feels so unstable at higher speeds. i wouldn't recommend it doing this again, but if you do make sure you consider all consequences and do it in a empty road.

This is exactly the reason this member no longer visits this site. People's comments and opinions. Kinda sad. He was/is a cool dude.

never said he wasn't a cool dude or anything else for that matter..i don't know who he is. If comments like mine would drive a person off the site...that's weird. My comment in no way was meant to offend. Hope he stays safe and comes back to this site.

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

What you said is about par with what everyone else said. Kinda being a father figure to a grown man and his decisions. As if he didnt know what he was doing or didnt contemplate the risks. He was an avid track guy that knew his truck well and it's abilities. As far as him coming back. Not happening. I called him personally and he just wasnt interested to others criticism on here. I know you may not have meant anything by it rude, but it's just the idea of another person telling a grown man how and what to do. He posted the vid to show people the capabilities of his truck....not to show he was unresponsible or anything else.

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

He was driving on a public road at a little over 140 mph endangering his life and the lives of others. Then he posts a video on a public forum where he should expect criticism. If he can't take sumair's criticism, he's pretty thin skinned.

Re: Paparyno"s Titan at over 140mph!!!

If you're going to post videos of yourself doing over 120 mph passing other cars then you should expect some criticism. Take a look at the 2nd video in post 13 he blows right past another vehicle. At that speed anything could have gone wrong and he couldn't have done anything about it. What if the other van had changed lanes? Last time that van looked in his mirror the titan was probably barely visible.

at 140 mph he was covering 1/4 mile in something like 3 seconds...

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/1159757-post13.html

Just like the other thread that's going on about the guy removing his speed limiter to get places faster... For the average trip down the interstate the minimal time savings doesn't outweigh the risk involved going 60 mph faster than the rest of the traffic. He did it and props for doing it but driving like that with other traffic involved is just asking for someone to get killed.

ah ic, thats just an ego issue. i can't tell hes an avid track guy or even know who he is over a vid he posted of his speedometer. to me he could be just a 19 y/o kid messing around and that's what it looked like to me. now i know more, i would still respond the same way. As cool as is it seeing a titan rip like his in the vid..in the end its still a huge risk regardless of his age. If he got hurt by comments people made like mine..then that's a shame. Posting on a public forum does lead to the public commenting on your post..whether its negative or positive.

if i posted a picture of me jerking off while holding a gun to a chimpanzee..you better believe i will be prepared for the responses whether i am clint eastwood with a gun or a professional monkey handler.
