3 for 3, Killing the tree, 2 vs a Tundra DC

Just got back from the strip and it was an awesome time. I got to race my friend Phillip in his Tundra DC twice and cooked some Honda with a Spoon sticker on the back, I know that because he did a ricer fly by after I whooped him, lol.

Phillip has a K&N drop in filter and a Borla exhaust and he thinks the exhaust was worth about a tenth from his last outing. They were very close races as you can see from the time slips and that's what made them such a blast.

I am hooking great with the snow tires on the strip, floor it at 2/3 speed off the line and after a small chirp, she's off.

The new 2.5" Y pipe is the perfect size for street tires, if you want good consistent launches when flooring it off the line. I don't have to pay attention to anything but the tree right now and I was killing it tonight. If I can keep getting consistent runs out of it I may win some bracket races this year.

I just don't get why I'm not running quicker at the top end though other than the intake manifold or tuning. Time will tell but I am very pleased with how it launches and runs consistency wise, it's just a great setup for street tires because it's so easy to launch now, no more easing into the pedal and praying I hook, lol.

What is your track number? I went to the track yesterday and had a bad R/T and wheel spin for about 40 feet. That was my first time and really I didn't think I would spin that much.

7162 is me. I did the same thing all three times, burnout to red line in first gear and take my foot off the brake and slide to the line. 35 PSI in the snow tires, (Bridgestone Dueler AT stock steelies) stage just deep enough to light the bulbs, leave like a bat outta hell on the third amber. Just practice and you will improve.
These trucks are torque monsters and now that I've moved my power up in the band, I want some more top end HP from maybe an intake manifold swap.

All the Tundra had was exhaust and a different filter? If so,that thing is flying.

In reality he's about 5.5 tenths behind me if I wanted to unleash my torque with some drag radials.
I think the Tundra lacks the ability to pull those quick 60 ft times like we can but even leaving soft I'm beating him now.
Make no mistake, the Tundra is a quick truck for certain but I will put a properly modded Titan up against them any day and even after they have more mods available, I think it will be a very close race depending on how the Titan is modded.
