As some of you may have noticed there are a few military personnel sporting a ?Special Operations? Avatar.
In the past we have frowned on too much Avatar alteration because we are a Race Club, first and foremost and want to recognize one another online and have similar colors to do so.
Because these valiant soles are or were in the military, we are allowing special Avatars to honor the individuals that go in harms way to try and keep us all a bit safer.
In keeping with that theme, we would like to create IRC VK56 Avatar backgrounds for our Civil servants as well. The Policemen, Firemen and EMT?s that routinely risk their lives responding to our calls for help deserve some recognition as well. The fact is, if not for the help of all three of these services, my wife would not be here today.
If anyone has any suggestions on an IRC VK56 logo background for the different civil services, please let us know here and we will honor them with their own versions as well.
For those of you feeling left out, we will eventually do some different backgrounds for the other club members to chose from but all the folks that keep us from harms way and those that help when we are about to take the big dirt nap come first.
Please post your suggestions in this thread and we can get the ball rolling on this.

Maby one kind of logo (general) for all. Military can get a seperate design, all the same basic layout with maybe their division labeled if they wish (digital camo looked cool). Maby even a different color background for the origional members

We haven't left our racers and race support out but we thought taking care of those that take care of us was top priority.
I think everyone would like to have something a little flashier so We will come up with some cool backgrounds for all the other folks in the club as well.
I thought about different color checked backgrounds for those of us involved in the different types of racing, dirt/mud, hill/heavy off road and strip/road race. I'm sure more people will want to get involved with ideas for those but first things first.

That's fantastic and I think we both forgot about the Coast Guard. Like so many thankless jobs, nobody remembers you exist until they need you so we have to see if they have a different uniform as well.
I like the idea of an all in one civil service background but I have no good ideas for it so we'll see what other people come up with.
It's tough to do anything too detailed because the backgrounds are small but I think someone will come up with something satisfactory.

Blue background for Police, red background for Fire?

Paul Revere would be proud....
But let's not forget about William Dawes... Poor sap went the other way and Paul got the gold. Eh, that's typical.... My bad luck didn't start with me... it started with one of my ancestors....
