Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

the fastest car i have ever ridden in was one of the old pony car mustangs. it started life as an svo but has since been gone through about 3 times and sports full race adjustable suspension, driveline, and a 351 crate, stroked and poked to 393. add to that the 100 shot of nos and the drivers lightening quick reflexes and shifting (5th degree black belt and instructor in taekwondo). it was like a tilt-a-whirl at full tilt. We only did a couple of pulls since we were on a public road, but we went from a slow roll to 100 faster then ive ever seen. keep in mind this is a full street legal daily driver with A/C and interior.

I went to the track one night on open track night and watched him lay down low 12's and a high 11. he stopped after that since he didnt want them to shut him down as the rules state anything lower then 11.49 requires a at least a roll bar.

he did however beat a roush mustang that was either supercharged or turboed. and a couple of other cars that were trailered in and only used for bracket races.

It Is, watch the video closely, look for the solid white stripe of smoke at the center of the rear tires. It makes so much power the dyno cannot keep up with the acceleration of the 15" wide rear tires.

Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

The fastest car I've been in is my buddies Subaru Imprenza WRX STI. I can't wait to take it to Bithlo, I'm sure he'll be in the 11 sec range with the mods he has.

Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

One day I'll have my own 12 second ride, hopefully a truck. Probably not this truck though. But one day I want a 12 second street truck. Weather it be a Lightning, modded out R/T, or whatever. Maybe I'll at least get low 13's to mid 13's in this truck

Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

Nah, some DR's and I should be 13.6 or 7, then with the 5 minute Short Belt mod, I should be 13.5 or 6, then eventually a TB and manifold. I was going to do Nitrous, but I don't trust the stock tranny, and don't have the money for a tranny upgrade, but we'll see.

Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

I used to have a 05 evo 8, i only did a turbo back exhaust, and ingen intake and my own custom tune and was running low 12's the lowest was 12.11. Man i miss that car but i do love my titan its loads of fun and very touchy on the gas it likes to light up the rear if i stomp on it, stupid stockers lol.

Re: Got to ride in my first 12 second car

My fastest car is my z4m...12.85 and my last cars were a 997 and a 300srt8. they were both low 13 second cars, but my srt8 definitely felt the fastest w/ all that torque! but if speed were all that I was after I would def. own a c6 z06 or just jump on my duc 1198! but chasing after the elusive 13.5( for me, look at my sig )in my triple purpose truck(work, dirt, track) is so much more fulfilling!

I'm installing my bottle tomorrow
