is there a company that makes cams for 2008 models, or would it even help??

They would help A LOT! The only known maker for camshafts for the Titan is Jim Wolf Technology, but they only have camshafts for the 04-06 Titan. I emailed them a while ago about any progress with newer models, but they said they were still doing tests. I'd give it a year or so before we hear any news about them.
